Good to have Saturday night entertainment back. This is a big wish for this series.I wish people would vote for best dancer not favourite celebrity....

It does no one any good voting them back week after week if they cannot dance or at least show progression from week to week...

So fingers and toes crossed we get a deserving winner like last years and not just someone from a popular soap

or a sportsman who wins because Len keeps giving him ridiculously high scores for no good reason.

And let's hope Bruno keeps his 10 paddle under control until he finds out what perfection means.

I hope for a set of celebrities who are shown to be doing it for the right reasons and not oozing desperation to win or be given further work.

I think competitiveness is great, but when it turns into desperation, (Gabby Logan and Emma Bunton spring to mind), it looks a bit ugly in my opinion!

I also hope the best dancer wins and that Bruce Forsyth stops being a tad embarrassing - like a slightly drunk uncle!

I hope that none of the professionals have their relationship broken by it and that there is no bitching amoungst the celebrities.

I hope that Claudia is on top form again, and that she has some fab guests on. Please can Aled be a regular with her and Gok Wan as well?

I hope the wardrobe department don't spend their budget on the young, thin women and that they spread it around a bit. Poor Letitia last year had some dreadful costumes, though the pale greeny-aqua one was lovely, but it was a long time waiting for it.

I hope SCD continues to outshine the X-factor as the BBC proves you can do reality without losing class and professionalism!

......and that I can get a bit of control!

Last night, at the end of the news, before the programme had even started, I was getting goose bumps and getting giddy, just thinking about the programme!

I hope that I can dislike a person or their actions without being called a HATAH or suffering death by exclaimation marks.

I hope that the best dancers, doing the best dancing win - just as many people vote for their favourite professional, regardless.

I hope that the Curse of GMTV skips this year - either by Burton's Man being able to dance or by him leaving in the appropriate week.

I hope that wardrobe carry on their vendetta against Tess - it makes me laugh to see what they concoct for her!

I hope no-one peaks too early.

I hope all of them work hard, study hard and practise...but remember to have fun - because it is much more fun for us that way.

I hope that Brendan dumps the bad boy characticture and just creates dances that that people will remember - not the panto.

I really hope we don't get any romances this year (particularly as the threads about them have lasted longer than the actual romance did!)

I hope no-one has a meltdown - not nice to watch.

I hope the judges remember that their favourites are not automatically our favourites...

and that nagging us wont make it so!

I hope that if someone drops out, the Powers That Be let the last couple voted out back in, so we have a three couple final again

I hope people don't get sh**ty about what threads are at the top of the board this year, it makes absolutely no difference to them being able to post in the threads they would wish too.

I hope no one has to drop out this year.

Just hoping for an entertaining series all round.

I hope the extra time on the Sunday show will be devoted to the wonderful professional dancers.

I hope people don't take what they read in the papers our contestants as gospel truth (happily most posters on here don't seem to ) (had enough of the 'female contestants being bitchy' stories last year but it seems they have started again )

Yours puts pictures of my favorite cornetto in my head!

Mine's a jazz thing!

I'm craving chocolate now and not a bit of it in the house.

Re the sportsman/Len thing - and this is most unlike me to praise Len - perhaps he appreciates the effort they put in, compared to where they start from? I can't say I've noticed he does it just for sportspeople, Len is usually more generous compared to Craig and Arlene.

My only thought for this series is that DS doesn't turn into the BBC forum again with rude, nasty and vile comments in appreciation threads and that everyone at least tries to get on without being rude to one another.

*I can only dream I suppose*

I think you have to mark on a curve in this sort of competition. Many of the former contestants have been to stage schools wherein they had dancing lessons - so they are more able to grasp the basics like pointed toes, pretty hands, posture etc. Compare Matt from last year to Colin Jackson - Matt went to stage school and was younger - you therefore expect him to be able to grasp the fundementals of dance. Colin spent years training, and to achieve his successes you would expect a strong mental attitude, but that does not teach you how to hold yourself. In the early rounds you would definately look for different things from each.

Why don't we confiscate it, keep it under lock and key and only let him have it if 12 posters agree the couple have earned a '10?'

What's a HATAH?

I hope no one shouts conspiracy when their fav goes out and realises that it's only a dancing competition and not even like the X-factor where someone's career could be make or broken by it.

I also hope that no gets the flack that people like Gaby, Kelly or Matt got - some of the things said about them were appalling and I think people ought to be ashamed of themselves for saying them. It's one thing to express the opinion that you find Gaby's dancing a bit souless, Kelly annoys you or that you feel sorry for Vincent - but implying that someone is a ball breaker or a brat is beyond the pale unless they display bad sportmanship of the ilk of Dom or Jan Ravens then they're fair game.

I hope there aren't controversies which people are still inclined to keep banging on about a year after the event.

I do agree with most of what you say especially about Tess the tactless.

A hater - as in because I didn't think they were wonderful, I must hate them. Normally written like this:

"You are such a HATAH!! Why do you hate!! The dance was fantastic!! You are so jealous/gellus/jelus!! It was great!!"

He wants to show that "macho" men can dance too. Comments like "he's surprisingly light on his feet for such a big bloke" irritate the bejesus out of me. Darren Gough won in Series 3 because Len's comments helped to persuade people to vote for a "rough bloke" type, which was totally unfair considering he was incredibly mediocre compared to Zoe and Colin.

I hope the judges will not overmark people cos they like them...

I hope fans will not launch internet campaigns against certain celebs.

I hope we dont get a lot of ageist/sexist comments about peoples appearance etc.

I hope the GBP get it right and the worst dancers are in the bottom two each week

Len's comments never persuade me to vote for anyone - I enjoyed some of Zoe's and some of Colins's dances, but Darren left me with a smile on my face more than they did.

I hope the judges will not slaughter the less competent dancers, so that the public feel compelled to vote for them as a protest.

People did want a man to win that year and I do think that his comments had some influence. Zoe was the most talented dancer that year IMO but Colin should have won after she was voted out.
