Brenden's extra lift

I think you're all forgetting that Kelly knew the rules just as well as Brendan. He didn't force her to do three lifts so why is all the blame on him?

As for punishment, I think marking them down is enough (although obviously this wasn't enforced with Bruno's 10 which is no fault of Brendan's or Kelly's!). Would you really want them to be kicked out of the competition just for one extra lift?

And I agree with all those who mentioned that the production team have a hand in these things. They all have their characters, so to speak, and surely the judges must have seen footage of the three different lifts in their training. Or if not the judges, someone would have noticed.

He is Brendan,not Brenden,or Brendon.
Thank you!

Also, don't you think it's because it IS tv that he breaks the rules? If you label someone 'bad' they tend to enjoy living up to their label for the fun of it...”

Agreed

The more important question is, what are the penalties for breaking the rules?

If there are no penalties beyond a point or two off the marking, then there's not much downside - the public vote boost and the extra publicity will more than make up for that.

I still reckon a "Zero Score" should be an option - or even a "No-score" card, which could be counted as zero. The onus would then be on Len etc. to put their money where their judgements are.

I really like Brendan, his dancing is always entertaining so I don't know why he has to break the rules.

OK, let's try to explain it again - he breaks the rules because IT'S EXPECTED OF HIM. IT'S HIS ROLE IN THE BBC PANTOMIME THAT IS SCD - if he said 'no, this year I'm going to play it straight' for a start it'd give haters on this forum nothing to talk about and secondly would he be in a job next year? No!

Once again, this happened nearly 12 months ago can we please ALL MOVE ON and look forward to the next series instead of rehashing old ground again and again and again

Sorry if it sounds as if I'm having a go at you, it's not you it's the whole thread. I'm sick of this board already because of threads like this and the competition hasn't even started yet!

IMHO threads like this are pointless and annoy those of us who like the particular celeb/dancer. Why post something provocative when you know the fans are going to be annoyed by it? Don't you have real people to talk to?
