Female scart to AV input adapter?
Is there an adapter that will convert a male scart plug into the 3 AV male jacks. Eg yellow video and red and white audio?
My cctv cam only has a male scart connection but my hard drive recorder has AV female connections. |

You can get SCART line-connectors - these are two female SCARTS back to back, use one of those and a standard SCART to three phono's lead.

Sorry to barge in on this conversation, but would this adapter also work with a PCTV card?
I have Virgin Cable TV with a signal relay booster which sends the signal from the Set-Top Box to a TV anywhere in the house. I had hoped to be able to send it to my son's computer but the receiving end of the booster has a scart connection and none of the PCTV cards have scart connectors. |

It would do. But you may be better off buying a lead with a SCART plug at one end and the appropriate plugs for the PC at the other.
CPC (online) or Maplin (online or High Street) do various flavours of SCART to phono plug, S-Video and/or mini jack. Just make sure you get one that is an OUTPUT from the SCART end. Most are labelled in or out with reference to the SCART so should be fairly easy to spot the right one. Or get one with a switch! |
