all depends on where you get it from and its quality. the best i have come accross is from cockburns butchers in the scottish highlands, (elgin).
the stuff you buy in supermarkets and from chip shops is disgusting. |

Also depends on whether it's caught during the season or not.

I'm having haggis for tea tonight. Yummy.
Don't know what jockstraps taste like though so can't make a fair comparison. |

I just love haggis!
Haggis stuffed in a chicken fillet with a rasher of bacon wrapped round it (Balmoral Chicken) - delightful! |

I have tasted (filled) jockstrap but not haggis and rather wouldn't.
Unfortunately, I'm being served it next month as the main course at an awards dinner. I don't touch offal but I'm not a vegetarian. Should I just avoid it or is there a chance it won't have offal in it (it's the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh)? If I ask for the vegetarian it's likely that it'll have my other 'food hell' - cheese - in it. Advice please. G |

I've never come across vegetarian haggis with cheese in it, so I think you should be quite safe in ordering it.
Not that keen on either though, but I'd rather fancy some proper meat on the night. G |

You get what you pay for, some are better than others and some brands are just over-rated - like Calvin Klein for example.
