Pringles Select

Has anyone seen these? They were £1 for a 150g bag (introductory offer) in Tesco
Seem slightly posher than normal Pringles (wasnt there also Pringles Gourmet?)
I bought the Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar ones, they also had Thai Sweet Chilli, Italian Cheese With a Hint of Garlic, and Seczhuan Spices (something like that).
I wondered if anyone had them and if theyre that different from normal Pringles.

Thanks
I also saw some Tyrrell's Potato Crisps (they sound like Kettle Chips). Kettle Chips are good but the plain ones have an oily aftertaste.

Kettle Chips are at least better than Walkers Carpet Slices But buy anyone own brand "Finest/The Best" crisps (or some M&S handcooked ones) and theyre similar to Kettle Chips TBH, Tesco and Morrissons ones have nice crunch

We usually get Sensations purely because ASDA have a 4 for £3 offer on them.

I think Kettle Chips are a victim of their own success now. Product has went downhill, more air in the bags than crisps, etc. Get any own brand version from a supermarket and you'll find they are better now!

I know what you mean, you really don't get many crisps in a 40g bag
Supermarket versions of them are just as good if not better now IMO.

I tried the Szechuan Spices one the other day, they were nice but very garlicky, could still taste them the next day.

That's shocking, I'm glad I had only half a dozenish

Has anyone else found their crisps not tasting quite so good? I bought my son a pack of skips and I helped myself to a couple and thought they tasted disgusting. Yuk!

Yes it is shocking.

I was watching TV and saw someone set fire to a Pringle to demonstrate how much fat they contained.
It burnt like an oiled wick!

I never liked crisps much after they started using foil packets. They all taste too strong for me now. And I dont like crisps trying to pretend they are something they're not...sea salt and balsamic vinigar Give me good old salt n vinegar or bacon crisps any day

I generally agree with that, although I do like the Caramelised Onion & Sweet Balsamic Vinegar flavour

Sacasm surely?

I've seen a persons mouth bleed from Kettle Chips they are so crunchy. Honestly.

One comedian I saw, either Michael McIntyre or Jack Dee (I'm leaning towards Jack Dee but not 100% sure) described them right, they are so crunchy its like chewing on Shrapnel.

Lol, sorry no sarcasm intended....maybe I got a dud pack, I have to admit I only bought the one, thought they were gross and never bothered again. Maybe I'll try them again

I agree about these daft fancy flavours like chicken and lime sumet or an other.....If I wanted a posh meal, I'd cook one so it was good and I never think the flavours taste anything like say!!

You could look at it that way, but they really DO taste a lot better than your common or garden C and O.

I had Kettle Chips Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar the other day, and wierdly the crisps tasted stale, even though they were well within their use by date
Tyrell's (Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar) had lovely crunch but not much real flavour. The crisps themselves tasted natural, the flavour didnt, Give me sea salt any day

Very disappointed in Pringles Select Made with "dehydrated potatoes" (!) they look (and taste) different from real Pringles and the sweetness of the balsamic vinegar tasted odd to me and overpowered everything else.
Crap. Not impressed.
Kettle Chips version of Cheese and Onion tasted good but it left some powdery crap on my hands
150 cal in 1oz of Pringles Select?! Yikes, I had the whole pack (150g)

In a 40g bag you'll get erm, 40g. Doesn't matter how many you get surely?

You got me there. I think there seems to be more air in the bag than crisps though. Since the bag is sold by weight, more air could also add up to 40g = less crisps.
