Has it been going down recently?
I've noticed it as being bad before, I'm thinking they are cutting costs. I bought some chinese veggie spring rolls, had some horrid gloop in them. Bought some prawns, they went off after a day, that horrible fishy smell, I'm quite fussy over seafood. Treated myself to those chicken fajita thingies, chicken was tasteless, onions were almost raw, and the quality of the salsa left a lot to be desired.
Gloopy, fishy, tasteless food. I expect more for the prices I pay, although I bet M&S are a lot more expensive.
I don't know if they can be blamed for fruit, as the oranges I bought were tasteless and crunchy, is that Asda's fault or is it just not the season for oranges?
At least their smartprice toilet roll is less harsh than what it used to be.

- didn't buy oranges - cos they were rock hard and still green - was in Asda on Friday - and I noticed their pre-packed cheddar was still well with in the sell-by date, but was mouldy inside the packaging
