Green Tea
Apparently it has fat busting / metabolism increasing properties...
How much do you have to drink to notice it working? 1 cup a day? 3 or 4 a day? 1 a week? i like the stuff but i think 2-3 a day is enough for me. And is jasmine / oolong / pu erh the same as green tea? And does it have to be proper chinese like that gunpowder tea or will twinings do? |

Yes, ive heard the green tea can help with slimming. I like it, and used to drink about 2 cups a day. You need to drink it daily for it to work, and i 'think' they recommend about 2 cups.
When i drank it regularly i did loose a few pounds, but who knows if it was the tea, or if it was due to other factors ? |

Right. tomorrow i will start drinking a cup of green tea in the morning and one in the evening (minimum) and see if i lose weight. Does anyone know if its just green tea or does jasmine etc count? and that japanese rice tea? |

Think its just Green tea that increases the metabolism but I'm sure I read somewhere recently it should be 4-5 cups a day.
Found this: http://www.colonhealth.net/weight_lo...ight_Loss.html No clear answer though. |

On my healthy days green tea tastes ambrosial, especially the jasmine variety.
On my toxic days it's a different story!

Second only to wine, green tea is nectar from the Gods
![]() Detox or no detox, can't do without my cuppas, and carry round 10 bags in a little tin just in case I am anywhere that doesn't do green tea (shame on them!) in which case I ask for a mug of hot water and do it myself. Often have to do that on planes. |

I love Green Tea - I don't tend to drink it in the day very much but I love a cup in the evening before going to bed.

If I've had just fish and chips I don't find green tea "goes", whereas if I've had sushi it tastes just right. In the same way though, if I've had just green tea I don't feel so much like fish and chips, so it works both ways and in general I think green tea is a Very Good Thing and I've always felt healthier when drinking more of it. And I would highly recommend jasmine flavoured green tea.
