Wraps
bagels pitta bread crispbread with a pot of Low-fat soft cheese - all make a change from traditional sliced bread. If you've got a kettle to hand, Cup-a-Soup and perhaps chunky fresh bread Salads - homemade with pasta, beans or rice Soup in a flask |

I bought one of these lunchboxes a couple of months, after being completely inspired by Elanor's pictures, and it is great. |

I was recently working 09-00-17:00 instead of my usual shifts. Rather than take sandwiches I took the following:-
Cous Cous mixed with finely diced cucumber, cherry tomatos, pepper, and coriander. I also drizzled a little Blue Dragon sweet chilli sauce over it. Other days i would take crudites with a small pot of humus or philidelphia. Both can be prepared the night before

Hubby likes a couple of cooked chicken bits, tomato, pepper and a little pot of either mayonnaise or mango chutney to dip it in.
For afters he has something like a little plastic tub with some blueberries or chopped strawberries and a pot of his current favourite yoghurt. |

I rarely heat it up, although I do sometimes, if I feel like it. But I like cold pasta stuff and cold roast veg.
I just keep my lunch box in my drawer at work, and it's always fine at lunch time. Depending what I have in there, I sometimes stick an ice block in the bag with it just to keep it cool, but not usually. I do keep it in the fridge overnight after I've made it, and it's usually just right by the time I get to lunch time. |
