Products You Don't See Advertised Anymore
Thought this might be a good one to get everyone thinking.
I'm not talking about products that no longer exist. But things you probaby forgot you could still buy today, yet for some reason havn't been on TV for ages. For example, these used to have long running ad campaigns yet I haven't seen an advert for them in years...WHY? Shake n' Vac Cadbury's Fudge Bovril Fry's Turkish Delight Ovaltene Esso Petrol Eveready Batteries Tango Pepsi Cola Um Bongo (Juice Drink) Mr Sheen Shape Yoghurt Toshiba (ello Tosh!) Milky Way TV Times Magazine Soap (imperial leather/camay etc) Milk Tray / Terry's All Gold / Black Magic Tuborg Lager Wrigleys Spearmint Gum |

company that introduced the famous battery powered toy bunny concept that Duracell have been shamelessly ripping off recently in their own ads, even the colour! Energizer should sue! Quote:
Pepsi Cola
but there are occasional ad campaigns for Pepsi Max. The most recent one I can remember was in 2006 (13 years after the launch of Pepsi Max) when Coke launched their massively inferior Coke Zero product. The tagline for the campaign was, "Max Taste - Zero Sugar!" a slightly cheeky variation of their original "Maximum Taste - No Sugar" slogan. |

Sugar Puffs are currently running an ad , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBnEYQVZb_o that is causing controversy (and therefore bringing more attention to the brand) by allegedly ripping off part of the popular BBC comedy 'The Mighty Boosh'
still, quite clever though

Posted by DJGM AFAIK ... Ever Ready was bought out by Energizer, and rebranded as such. Energizer was the company that introduced the famous battery powered toy bunny concept that Duracell have been shamelessly ripping off recently in their own ads, even the colour! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duracell_Bunny and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energizer_Bunny Interesting... |

They launched a Dairy Milk Turkish, but I'm pretty sure Fry's Turkish Delight still exists (and is the only product apart from Chocolate Cream to still bear the Fry's branding).
