How about......

"R Whites Lemmonade"

and what about Nescafé, do they not advertise anymore?
Oh I loved the R Whites ad

Nescafe have just started a new ad for their rich/exotically roasted/blendedrange, such as Alta Rica (nice), Columbian, that sort of thing.

And how about, the PG Tips chimps, the puny Mr Sheen, and the glowing Ready Brek kid?

Wasn't Elvis Costello's Dad in that ad? I seem to remember something about it in Smash Hits (back in the day )

Didn't Babycham sort of make a comeback this year or last? Very retro now

I used to love the stuff, felt very grown-up at Christmas time, when I was 15, with my very own drink to sip

Were the Cinzano ones with Leonard Rossiter and Joan Collins, or was that Martini?

Sandeman Port - you always knew it was nearly Christmas when you saw the Sandeman adverts!

Milk - or more specifically dairies. "Watch out there's a Humphrey about!"

Petrol - you used to see Esso, BP, Chevron, Shell ads all the time - now I think they are too embarrassed to advertise

The adverts used to be so fun.

Now its all foxy bingo, Gala bingo, e-on, edf, Ocean finance etc.

One ad that really surprises me now is the Oasis one, it's all arty and expensive and yet it's not really a mass product, not like something like R Whites or Schweppes were. It doesn't make me want to buy their overpriced flavoured water either.

I used to like the Cadbury ads, the Caramel bunny, Smith and Jones flogging Wispa's. Their current ads are dire IMO (runway and drumming gorilla :yawn

I miss some of the old ads.... I always thought Babysham looked like the coolest drink ever. Also someone I knew, when they were 6 or 7, got on a chair at school to sing "I wish I was in greenhall whitley land" to their class - apparently taking the teacher by surprise. The ads were so catchy then though.

Probably the catchiest hook at the moment is "la la lala la I'm Lovin' it" for Maccy D. That jingle is still a bit old school

Homepride- Fred!
Birdseye potato waffles- they're waffly versatile
Birdseye fishfingers
Malibu- "this melon is for display purposes only"

I miss the days when ads made sense and you knew what the product was; I have been known to think "this looks like a good movie trailer, I must go and see it", and then it turns out to be a car ad...

I seem to remember most of the adverts of the 90s being crap; its nice to see an increased production value for things like the latest Cadburys and Hovis ads. I also liked that Skoda cake advert.

I remember, for instance, Morrisons adverts with a giant pound coin rolling back the prices; and a Blockbuster advert that seemed to advertise that the light from the shops could be seen from space.

The exception to this is the Lynx (pulse?) advert with those dancers, probably quite low-budget but still very iconic and well-made.

Given the new laws to banish junk food from our TVs during hours that kids watch then you can understand why "Chocolate Fudge" and many other choccy bar ads have gone the way of the Dodo.

Is it me or do they not advertise condoms anymore? Durex ads used to be on quite frequently until a few years ago.

Builder 1: Will it be chips or jacket spuds? Will it be salad or frozen peas?
Builder 2/3: Will it be mushrooms?
Builder 4: Fried onion rings?
All Builders: You'll have to wait and see!

Narrator: Birdseye introduce steakhouse grills. Pure ground beef that you cook like a steak and serve like a steak.

Narrator: What will you give your old man with his steakhouse grill?

All Builders: Hope it's chips, it's chips. We hope it's chips, it's chips. We hope it's chips, it's chips....

Birdseye steakhouse grills. Now in lamb as well as beef.

Double diamond works wonders
Smith crisps
Golden wonder crisps
On top of old smokey
All covered in snow
I lost my golden wonder
to a brave Navajo
HOW
He crept up behind me
And stole them away
Now down in the valley
They're crunching away
Oh bring back my golden wonder smokey bacon flavourrrrrrr
