Everyone's a fluffy one ... It was a hamster or door mouse and for the life of me cannot remember what it was for. Maybe marshmallows

Oo also .. June Whitfield and Bird Eye pies. Yes I made it myself.

There was another where they said shove it in the oven. My memory is rubbish

'That's handy harry, stick it in the oven', I've been using that as a tagline to certain situations for years, so long I'd forgotten what the ad was for.
I don't think anyone has ever picked up on the connection either.
Birds Eye Pizza.

Assumed it was Findus French bread pizza, that I loved at the time, but google ruined that faulty memory.

I didn't smoke, but I liked this commercial by Carol Reed.
Apparently it was a rubbish cigarette.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjBHUQEiTPw

The tune was released as a 45. Made number 39, in 1960.

Country Life Butter.

I still think there's never been a better slogan than 'You'll never put a better bit of butter on your knife.'. It just flows so wonderfully.

It can be seen amongst these superb 80's ads.

Don't think I've seen that one. I remember the Christmas ad they always had every year with the Clydesdale horses.

They're advertising their other products rather than just the black stuff, Brewhouse project, Guinness Porter IIRC, they've got a 1000 year lease on the St James gate brewery or something like that.

They used to do these cool black and white ads that were almost like short films.

Yes I know, I remember them 'tick follows tock, follows....'
You can find the ad and link it for those who are too young to remember.

Anyway back to the res, of stuff that's still on the shelves, but doesn't get the big bucks advertising campaign.

As an aside, what's happened to the shouty fella from Safestyle Windows, there was time when they'd run the sensible ads and the shouty fella, shouty fella hasn't been seen for ages.
