time to invest in those chainsaws everybody, just found out that if we find a fault with the line caused by trees on your property then charges have to be applied. believe me, i couldn't make this up.

Brillant. As I've been saying all along, get rid of the tress and grass, use tarmac and concrete.

Ours is underground, but still, can never be too careful.

I know of engineers who already do this so perhaps it is new in your area but not new everywhere.

Thought I was taking the mick out of the TRC spotter when I suggested this a few years ago when I was critisied for not raising enough.

However what was there first? the tree and BT (OR) put the wire up with no accounting for its growth or did the customer import the mature oak/elm etc afterwards.

Would be interesting to apply this thought to the farmers for not laying their hedge rows that have now reached up and are putting faults on aerial cable.
