audio connectors..silly question
Hi
I know this is a silly question but cant seem to find the answer anywhere I currently have my dvd box connected to my stereo by an audi cable, I would like to be able to connect my freesat box to this as well but my stereo only has one audio input, is there a device/gadget/gizmo that will allow me to connect 2 devices into my one audio input on the stereo (a bit like the scart connectors) and if these do exist what are they called so I can try and find one thanks Jim |

If your 'stereo' is literally a music-type amp (as opposed to a specialist AV amp) then you will not be getting any of the fancy sound processing like DD, DProLogic etc.
In which case just take the sound source from the back of your TV (rather than the DVD player) and then the sound will go to your 'stereo' irrespective of whether the DVD/Freesat/TV is the source. Rgds, Scorp |

Hello Jim,
I don't know if this will be any good to you: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=350097087347 Sorry, looks like you might have to copy and paste the link. I had a similar problem to you whereby I wanted to connect two audio sources to one input. Although this device has a video input as well you can, of course, simply just connect the audio. Obviously, it is rca or phono connectors. I hope this is what you were after. |

The only thing (and I am being a little picky now) is I wonder if you can get these without the switch to save me having to manually change the switch thanks again Jim |

Funny.
I was just going to ask the exact same 'silly' question as the original poster as I want to have my sat box, wii and freeview box connected up to work through my amp! But now I don't have to so I don't feel so 'silly' ![]() Great find on ebay too - think I will buy one of these myself. Oh, and he sells the RCA extension cable that I want for my wii too. Cheers |

Hello Jim,
I can assure you, the link to the one I sent you is perfect for your needs. For under a fiver it's worth checking it out for yourself. Yes, you have to switch it yourself but do you remember the days when we had to get up from our chair and turn the tv channel over. I think we were all slimmer then! By the way, they also include a short three prong phono cable and also a short s video cable. A bargain. |
