3 day Virgin line problem
I have been without my phone connection now for over 48 hrs and according to Virgin Media there is an ongoing fault in my area of leicester (LE2)
I have spoken to three other people in the street who are with virgin and their phones are working Having looked at Virgins service status page on their website it says, "There are currently no issues" I have spoken to someone five times now (on my mobile & costing a fortune) and every time they assure me the problem will be fixed within two hours, I'm still no further forward as I type this. Now running into the 3rd day without a landline phone, Anybody know what else I could do to get them off their backsides and sort it ? |

I had a similar problem and there was a problem reported in a postcode close to me, but not the same one. After I advised the agent on the phone that all my neighbours phones were working fine, I got an engineer visit the next day. It was a loose cable in the cabinet (second time!) and was fixed pretty quickly. The first time it happened it took them a week!

Be persistent. I think I was lucky and got someone who knew what he was doing (in India, too). Instead of being asked every question, I started off telling the guy that all my neighbours phones were working, I've tried several phones etc etc... and he put me on hold, came back and said an engineer would be out tomorrow. We got a phone call the next day, to our surprise on the landline, telling us it was fixed and what the problem was.

Fixed at last, after five days, yes five damn days !!!
I and yourself (Carmen Queasy) were correct in assuming it was a wire adrift in the roadside box, pity the call centre in India didn't see it that way. Finished up speaking to a welsh guy Thursday morning, who I could at least understand and he got an engineer to call round today. Damn foreign call centers are a waste of time imo |
