Scart connection question
Hi,
My first post and it is a question. I have a TV with 2 scart sockets and want to connect Sat box, VCR, DVD player and games console using Blue delta Smart-scart switch to connect the 4 boxes. Now this is my question: - As the Smart-scart switch only requires one scart connection on the TV which of the 4 boxes would be better plugged into the second scart socket of the TV or should all 4 go through the Smart switch. |

Is the second scart in on your TV RGB enabled? If not, you wouldn't want to connect Sky, DVD (and possibly games console) to a composite only scart socket. Are all ins on smart scart switch RGB enabled? If not, how many are?
Does your TV output its digital signal through either scart - and if it does, would you ever want to use this feature to record Freeview? If so, your VCR must be directly connected to the required scart. |

TV scart 1 = RGB and scart 2 = SVHS according to the manual
Scart switch = 4 x RGB and record loop 1 & 2 |

So no advantage in using TV scart 2.
Thanks for your advice |
