Do the contestants have to contort themselves through holes shaped like Greek letters?

"BRING ON THE WALL!"

Just watched this week's ep on iPlayer, and noticed that the captain of the bookkeepers looked/sounded familiar. Then it dawned on me, he was the 'contestant' on Alex Zane's fake quiz on Balls of Steel, the Anne Frank expert who got very ratty when told she died in 1946.

It's a pity it was prerecorded. Maybe next series for the second round she can shout it out

I like how the relatively easy (at least to my eyes and brain anyway) questions are the only ones I actually guess before the contestants... the anagrammed capital cities, the Indiana Jones titles, and the Professors! Really enjoy watching this show... hope I never accidentally end up as a contestant though!!!

I was most proud of getting the "Wheat..." one!

Last night was episode 9 of 15.

Wasn't last night the first QF?
If so there would be 3 more, then 2 SF then the Final.

And Presentable, the company that produced this quiz was the same one that produced all those late night poker shows. It's all about connections...

Why did I put "ep.10" there when I meant ep.9. Only just realised I put that, even though I've since written another reply since. Must've been a long day.

It's a knockout competition with 16 teams, so yes - 15 episodes. I think the final's on December 22nd.

I also stumbled upon this game show by accident. At last an intelligent game show with a naturally good presenter, no loud music or over kill on flashy tacky lighting and big it up music. Just a quiet knowledge game show and very informative. It is worthy of a decent BBC 2 slot and time.
Fortunately for me it is also on the catch up service.

Thanks for your nice comments!

If you haven't already done so, please let the BBC know you like the show, as a second series isn't in the bag yet:

Also done! (I want to appear on the second series - but I would have endorsed the show anyway as I love it!)

Just done the same myself. I've also suggested a BBC2 repeat for the series. It's the kind of intelligent show I'd remember my parents watching in the 80s and, perhaps, early 90s, and while at least my Dad will never find it on BBC4 even if I tell him where to look, I know that a BBC2 showing around 8pm would be perfect.

(Edit: I once got an answer right that the team onscreen didn't! gloat-smiley )

I suggested putting it on a Saturday evening on BBC1, in the HITW slot!
