Which female celeb will be first to go?

Who Am I?

If she's in the bottom two I suppose it could be Heather as her professional partner wouldn't have much of a fanbase here in the beginning.

I agree. Jodie is already annoying me with her whinging (having annoyed me on the preview show with her comment about being famous for being Jodie Kidd) and Heather has a new pro as a partner and I don't think is that popular anyway.

I really don't see why the BBC have to try and find really tall celebs for Ian to dance with. Camilla is normal size and they manage okay. Denise and Zoe were okay but they weren't over 6'. Penny was just a lump (IMO) and Jodie may be skinny but already seems to be having problems controlling her arms and legs

I assumed maybe they just found tall celebs they wanted and then they automatically got Ian because of his height... rather than them going out looking for people to be with Ian I mean.

Does seem a bit sad for him because it means he continually gets people who can't cope with latin.

Well on DWTS, the models do have a tendency to go early in the series.. the only one who went any distance was Rachel Hunter.

Last year CarrieAnn told Josie (first out)that she had a very weak core and would need to build herself up, and she certainly seemed to lack the stamina to train a lot and it clearly frustrated her partner.

Jodie is at least fit and athletic, but she looks even ganglier than Zoe did

I hate to say it but I have to agree that Heather could be the most vulnerable. Mainly because, as people have already commented, her partner is not well known over here and she will also not have the huge support base of people like the EastEnders girls.

Unfortunately though, the judges have the final say, and they want to keep a new pro in, or prefer Heather, even if she is in the bottom two to whoever she is against! I don't think it is possible to predict who will go, now that the judges finally decide - they made some strange decisions last year!

Agree with the wacky judges decisions.... I still can't believe they kept Penny and let Gabby go ...... Gabby's samba was a million times better than Penny's, and her danceing overall was better too!

Mind you - that particular decision could have had something to do with the fact that Rod Stewart was scheduled to appear on the show or ITT the next week...

Cynical???

Maybe Len and Craig fancied Ian more then James

But I definately think the fact Rod Stewart had been booked to appear had something to do with it. Didn't Len have a moan about BBC producers interfering once?

If I'm honest I wish they'd abandon this gendered method of doing the first two elimintations. I like the idea of this year's DWTS where they are getting rid of two couples in Week 1 by having them all prepare two dances with one couple eliminated after the first and one after the second.

Actually it's now the first FOUR eliminations!!! Unfortunately!!

Crikey I hadn't realised that! Thanks Alfie.

Don't you mean Bruno and Craig? I don't somehow think Len is interested in any of the male dancers

I think it's well known that Bruno has fancied Ian for years! Doubt if it is reciprocal!!

Bruno's Ian worship does drive me barmy! Maybe it is just professional respect though...

Darn it!

Wish they'd go back to having no eliminations until we'd seen them do a latin and a ballroom each

i think heather will. Not sure who will be in the bottom 2 with her though.

Four single gender eps?

It's not that I don't want to see them do a ballroom and a latin each, I just want to see every person every week.

Men John Sargent
Women Jodie Kidd

Poor Heather I feel sorry for her, it's obvious that she can dance and as co-ordination, but is going to miss out cos she is with Brian.

I think posters here are too prone to massively over-emphasise the appeal of the pro-partner. If Heather leaves early (and assuming she's a reasonable dancer, as the brief clips we've seen do suggest), it will more likely be because of her relative lack of sufficient fan-base and/or the over-protective public flocking to save some god-awful dancer who the judges slate, thereby dropping two reasonable performers into the danger zone. Who her partner is would barely impact.

Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Ant (of Ant and Dec) in the Byker Grove days?

I am going to say Cherie as first to go, for the simple reason that I went "Who?" when she was announced, and all the other women were people I knew for once! That said I would like it to be Lisa, but that is because the poor girl has got lumbered with Brendan and every time I see him I want to smack him eight ways from Sunday, so the less I see of him the better to be honest.

I think the pity for Heather is due to the fact that, going on past precedent, new pros and their partners tend to go out in the first week. For whatever reason, celebs' fan bases don't seem to be fully mobilised in the first week or so, making those paired with an unfamiliar face more vulnerable to the vagaries of the judges and the voting public.

As for Brian, the poor man is just so American! By which I mean that he shares the drive and self-confidence that characterises all the pros, but combines it with taking himself very, very seriously indeed. Hopefully he will prove that he can laugh at himself quite quickly. Otherwise I think the GBP are going to eat him alive! (I should perhaps point out that I am a New Yorker born and bred. )

It'll be someone in the 'mushy middle' who goes - 6th.

The lowest scored (not worst) dancers will almost certainly be 'saved' by the GBP, and the overmarked will stay.

I'll put money on the two in the dance off coming from positions 4-6 on the judges marks, even if 8 is a long way behind.

However, I'm going to wait and see the dances (which seems like a novel approach around here ) before making a final prediction....
