Help Me Set Up PLEASE !
Hi all am a newbie at all this so thought i might consult your brains. I have the following and would a little connection help.
The bits i have are as follows Sony KV-32FX65U Sony SCV-SE810 vcr Marantz DV4100 dvd YAMAHA HRT550 amp Xbox RGB Pace Sky Nokia Digital Mission m7s Cinema package. Its prob not the best but it will do wot i want i think. The DVD is a couple of years old and can be changed it was bought on the fact that it was good with music and dvd so any surgestions would be good, the rest is newish. The mission satalites need longer cablesbut they have moulded plugs any sugestions guys ? Cheers Ramus

Number of SCART in/outs and RGB capabilites would help.
Do the speakers moulded plugs fit in normal phono sockets? If so you can buy extension cables from maplins, and no doubt more expensive ones from elsewhere too. Are you wanting to record Sky and (i'm guessing) Freeview, or one of them, or mainly Sky (say) but would like to do occassionally,,,, I.E. What would you like to do? It looks like many a home system now where a SCART switch box would be preferable.... |

Asuming the DVD allows pass through (i.e. when its on the input to SCART2 is displayed on SCART1)
XBOX -> SKY -> DVD -> TV-AV1 FREEVIEW -> TV-AV-2 FREEVIEW -> VCR IN VCR -> TV-AV-3 Then use UHF output to record Sky. This is assuming AV-1 and 2 are RGB, AV-2 is Svideo - switch if apporpriate. Now if your TV outputs the sound from AV inputs, a SCART splitter can be used to put Stereo sound to your hifi. Where avalible you can used the phono outputs or digital outputs to connect to the hifi. Don't know the cable - have you got a picture? UHF order would be Freeview -> Sky -> VCR -> TV Diagram here : http://www.kswindells.co.uk/freeview..._diagram_2.png Last edited by kev : 29-09-2003 at 14:07. |
