Bruce on Room 101
Did anyone watch Room 101 last night? I caught it by accident and saw that Bruce was on so kept watching. One of the things he wanted put in the bin was the way that directors kept cutting away from dancers' feet!! It was very interesting although he didn't mention SCD at all. I wish he'd have a word with the director of SCD about their stupid swirly cameraman. Bruce pointed out that Fred Astaire used to insist on one camera for the whole dance and no cutaways which meant you could see the footwork properly.
Maybe we should send a link to the programme to the SCD production team so they can see what their presenter thinks of their camera work!!!! |

I watched Room 101 from about half way through too .... like you Force Ten I caught it by chance. I seriously think it was recorded 'pre Strictly' tbh because some of the things they discussed was quite old news and I never heard any reference to SCD either. I thought Bruce looked slightly younger too.
I'm totally with you on the camera work on Strictly .... sends me dizzy

Gosh - really old then! I thought it was a new one. In that case why hasn't he made more of a song and dance (sorry!) about the camera work on SCD as it's directly against what he said on the programme. I suppose the BBC are committed to their stupid swirly cameraman and aren't about to stop doing it now but it would be so nice if we could just watch the dance in full without all the so called tricky camerawork.

If they're not doing red button commentary, maybe they could consider a red button sane camera angles option instead!

![]() ![]() He no doubt IS as infuriated as we are...if he has a chance to he sometimes has a go at music choices while at the judges.
