I recorded it (or so I thought) on the hard drive, but it hasn't worked. Did I miss anything interesting?

Ross going on about Strictly was shameless. The night before it starts they book Cheryl on to his show, so to make sure it gets good exposure he spends the last 5 minutes of her interview incessantly plugging it.

I feel Ross' actions of promoting Strictly in the last 5 mins of her interview were fair. The BBC won't just allow promotion for ITV's biggest juggernauts without any for their own shows. I did expect Ross to do a bit of SCD-plugging to be honest with you.

In terms of the interview- Cheryl was quite nervous I thought.

I think it's poor form for an interviewer, tbh. Not that Ross usually oozes class, of course and I did expect him to do it. The bargain is that they use each other. The show was promoted this week using quotes from Cheryl's interview and in turn, she gets to plug Girls Aloud/ X Factor. But the BBC have their claws out this year!

Cheryl seemed quite nervous on her own, but came across well. She might have pushed back a bit against the perception that she is a downtrodden doormat after having Ashley back.

All a bit bland really - pity as I like Cheryl and think she often comes across well.

This is definitely true. I've been told by a reliable source that Strictly's live shows will be starting much later this year than last year (after the series premiere). In effect, this will disrupt the X Factor schedule. The BBC are retaliating to ITV's scheduling of the soaps I believe, which has caused some friction between the two corporations.

I thought Cheryl handled the whole thing really, really well. When JR was being an eejit about Dannii, Cheryl just looked at him as if he was having a hormonal moment.

I thought she dealt with the stuff about her marriage really well.

I was never that keen on Cheryl pre x factor but now i think shes lovely.
She came across well on JR. and was very dignified regarding her marriage.
I think shes a great addition to the judges and cant wait to see what shes like as a mentor.

I thought she was really quite cool and down to earth - loved the comment about don't call it my private life, call it my personal life, nothing's private anymore. There speaks the voice of experience.

Mind you, I still think she should have kicked the idiot to the curb. She's so pretty and feisty, she'd have found a replacement in no time!

At first I didn't think the Danni Minogue impressions weren't funny, but when you actually look at her, they were spot on
