Can you not accept that just as people have individual characters and personalities, that people will react differently to the death of a much loved pet ? I have lost people I loved dearly (too many recently), and I also lost my beloved cat in June. I grieve for them all ..................and I would not say that in comparison losing a cat "is a piece of piss" as you so insensitively suggest
