philips 42pf5331 software update
as im having problems with the HDCP between my philips 42pf5331 tv and Sky HD ive been told to have a software update - i have no idea how to do this - is it done by a tech instore or is there other ways and means??
its probably a stupid question but im so frustrated at the situation i probably cant see the wood for the trees! ![]()

is the telly HDMI 1.3 ? support page http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/d...ARGE_32_42_SU# you may get a software update via your roof aerial, but generally this is for freeview |

![]() im really not up on these things - all i can say is i bought this tv 18 months ago - it worked fine with sky HD for the last 2 months till this afternoon when i got a message saying HDCP wasnt compatible?? i have seen a few places that say the tv software may be out of date soi should upgrade but i have no idea how!?!?!? asi said im not mega technical with the whole hdmi/hdcp thing...

there are times when companies do Over The Air upgrades and there is a list somewhere of proposed updates............. but I cant find the link I had
maybe someone else can help |

thanks for the info - i actually live abroad so i guess it wont apply to me anyway - having tried dismantling everything and carrying out resets about 10 times in total everything is suddenly working again fine!
the joys of Sky HD eh? thanks for the advice anyways
