Anyone else think Bruces Lehman Bros. "joke" was in poor taste. It wasnt just rich bankers who lost their jobs... over 5,000 laid off, bound to be a fair few support staff, cleaners, it staff etc.

I would imagine being reminded about their situation during a light entertainment show was the last thing they would want or expect.

Didn't mind at all. Hadn't even heard of them till this week anyway, and that's what black humour is. A lot of comedy deals with the down side of life.

PCness has meant that there is precious little that comics can joke about now anyway.

Perhaps they should just dispense with Brucie and have a recorded voiceover...

ALL of Bruce's jokes are crap, poorly timed, unfunny and cringeworthy.

I thought it was one of his better ones.

It was satire - a comment on the news of the day.

I obviously totally missed that one...

I think I tune out mentally when he's talking.

I feel sorry for the cleaners at Lehmans.

But isn't that part of SCD's charm...and every now and then Brucie does come out with a good joke.

I feel sorry for the airline staff who have lost their jobs and the people who have lost their holidays. I think that "joke" was in incredibly bad taste to be honest.
