Like most of Brucie's jokes it went off like a wet fart in a packed lift

It would have been a lot better if he hadn't lifted it from Mock the Week!

i do believe there is a place for such jokes, just not sure that that place is scd? If it had been some car factory in the north with 5000 being laid off im pretty sure more people would agree with me.

Never seen SCD before. Enjoyed it enough to watch again, but I found Brucie cringeworthy from start to end. Really not a good show for political / satirical jokes, and Bruce is a bit long in the tough to start delveloping into this type of comedy. Stick to what you know

No they don't. If they had they would have said so.

Don't know if you are professionally trolling or are just a professional apologist but please stop. Why on earth do you feel that you have to be offended on other peoples behalf??? What gives you the right??

I for one have lost my job due to the credit crunch and I have a friend who worked for XL. Do you think that we spend all our time wringing our hems and wailing about how bad our lives are? Of course not. Did I laugh at Bruces joke? Yes. Did I think...."Oh...I shouldn't be laughing at some light entertainment show because it reminds me that I've lost my job". Of course the **** not.

Please, if you want to feel sorry on behalf of people don't comb every bit of media out there for an excuse to be outraged. You have upset more people than you think Bruce did.

To repeat, do you think that anyone who has ever lost a job spends their entire life crying and feeling sorry for themselves and has no sense of humour and gets offended by the littlest thing that might remind them of their misfortune???????? For god sake....I take it you haven't lived in the real world much????

I look forward to your intelligent reply.

(To the folks who know me....sorry for the rant)

EDIT: BTW have had fun reading all your past BB posts (and Nokia and Virgin Media posts). Please remember this is not the BB forum or indeed Big Brother.

That brings a very strange picture to mind!

Sorry to hear you've lost your job Mike. Hope you find another one soon. Maybe now is the time to take up writing full time for a living?????? or entering quizzes professionally.
