My fav. audition and I hope she goes further. Whether I could contribute to a appreciation thread along side spiidey is another matter

Well, I'm not watching the live shows this year but I'll definitely keep an eye out for her, and hope she does well.

IIRC her Father is Scottish, what will that do to the voting?

If this is the girl who sang the Faith Hill song, then I thought she was brilliant.

If it's someone else, I apologise.

I absolutely loved her, had a bit of a cry, actually.

Her voice is lovely.

Yeah, she sung Faith Hill's "There You'll Be"

Thanks, Spiidey.

I really liked her and shed a tear or two along with her dad when she got through.

Don't feel embarrassed - I cried too That's the only time I've cried during X Factor this year and I'm not ashamed at all - it was really emotional and she didn't play on it - it was completely genuine

LOL, think it's probably best if we wait and see how she does first

I've probably cried four or five times now. Do I get to be embarassed yet?

And I cried with laughter at Mums On The Run. 'Chirpie Chirpie Cheep Cheep'. Classic!

Gang Bang lady is a Scot too - *mortified*.

Only know 'cos the repeat is on and I'm kind of waiting to see Amy again. Anyone remember where in the prog she was?

Not west coast and sounds quite refined - Corstorphine/Stirling/Borders, I think.

I've just watched Amy again and she's even more adorable than I thought first time around.

I know lots on here are saying 'sob story' etc but her dad has done a good job on bringing a decent girl up.

It'd be great for someone like her to win, she's a lovely girl with a superb voice.

BTW guys, if you don't like her, please dont post because then it no longer becomes an appreciation thread. Just a note.”

i thought she was terrific

LOL, Define posh? Nah, sadly I'm just really into the culture of regional accents.

As the Lady Provost of Glasgow whispered to the Lady Provost of Edinburgh while sipping tea - 'So is it true you can say, "You'll have had your tea then", in five different languages". Classic

Back OT - Yep, second time around Amy was adorable - unassuming, unwannabee, gorgeous song - sung from the heart. Loved her.

Wow i'm really pleased i started this thread now.

Yeah it really brought a tear to my eye. and TBH i wasn't sure if she was going to be good or not when she was talking before the audition.

So when she was about to sing i was like 'please let her be good', and i really loved her voice.

TBH i think we need someone like Cheryl on the panel to give that bit of affection and caringness she does.

Simon doesnt, Dannii just sits back and watches and Louis doesn't say much, so we need Cheryl to shed a tear! lol.

I absolutely loved Amy! He performance was great, but her sweetness and her emotion is what really got to me. Normally these stories on the show do nothing for me, but Amy's really got to me, the emotions were so real and pure

Such a sweet girl, hopefully she does well, i'll definitely be rooting for her.

Loved her. Really hope she can make it through boot camp. Only problem i can see is it is a realy strong catagory and you are really going to have to impress the judges to get through and most probably they will be looking for the next Leon etc. So i think at best the judges will pick 2 males and 1 female which will make it even harder. But i think she is one in a million she gets my vote if she is in the live finals thats for sure so come on Amy you were certainly my best so far by a mile.

Sob stories are usually enough to put me off contestants but not for two of them this year. This girl simply because she was very good, sob story or no sob story, and the guy who whose wife died, because he was good too but mainly because his sob story is an unusual one - losing a partner at a young age or a child is still unusual.

I thought Leon was sweet at his audition last year but he didn't make me cry. He isn't the only child brought up by a single mother in a less than desirable area.
