I was reading that this morning, sadly though the cynic in me thought if she gets through (which I hope she does) the whole Scottish vote & sob story arguement will raise its head-again!

I thought that initially but in terms of the nationality thing she was born & raised south of the border so I'm sure she'd get support from all over.

I hate sob stories but I really like Amy. She's got a sweet face and has a beautiful voice and I found her performance quite moving so she's definitely the auditionee who has stood out for me.

Would I have found her performance as moving if I hadn't heard about her mum? I can't say for sure, but I think I still would have done.

She's certainly getting lot of exposure, in addition to newspaper articles her audition was featured during an interview with Leon this evening on STV, along with other Scots auditionees. I got goosebumps again.

Yeah, I just hope she doesn't "do a Niki" and burn out too early

I'm glad you're a fan of her spiidey - this means if she does get through to the live shows there shouldn't be a problem getting MP3s of all her performances given your legendary performance last year!

LOL, yup, I'll be doing the mp3 for all the contestants again this year; just hoping for some show-stopping performances from Amy to be in there

I think I may just break the habit of a lifetime and have a wee flutter on Amy. Last year I picked Leon at his audition and never wavered, and also picked David Cook in AI at his audtion.

Those were the only two series I've watched all the way through., and only voted in the final.

Which I hope it wasn't meant in that way because some of us don't want to know who makes it through - spoiler's should be kept in the spoiler thread.

What was the act? To be fair he didn't really have much of sob story - all he said was he wanted to do it for his mum - the producers milked it.
