Yes I know he is the 'Simon Cowell' of SCD but tonight some of his voting left a lot to be desired..my god even Arlene wa giving encouragement to every couple...I do think Craig is a good judge but on tonight's performance I have to say....

Craig Revel Horwood...you are the weakest link...Goodbye

I like Craig, but I also felt some comments were below the belt tonight.

He was especially awful tonight

Just venting his spleen and spitting bile at most of the dancers, even more 'orrible than usual.

I think his comments were broadly spot on...but one or two of his scores were a bit low.

I have to say that I honestly feel that Craig has been given the remit by the Beeb to go in this direction of the "Mr Nasty" character once again.

His book has just come out, and I think a lot of people were surprised to find what a lovely, charming, thoughtful and warm character he comes across as.

Because of this, I don't think the Beeb wanted him to suddenly come across as the "softer" judge because that would spoil their characterisation of each judge and they don't want the formula to get more tired than it already is.

I like Craig immensely - but having watched all of the SCD series - I honestly feel that this year they have required him to don the Mr Nasty cap and really push it.

For me, its one gimmick too far with SCD and one that just doesn't work - it seemed far too "manufactured".

I think its a shame - but it seemed to me that it happened too often tonight to be genuine and natural.

Tis only my opinion - but I respect Craig as a judge and his faces when commenting just didn't ring true to me. Far too transparent.

and I feel its not his fault.

A bit low? I did laugh at the 1 but when I think about it, Gary was no where near as bad as Quentin or Fiona.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Craig didn't even score people like Brian Capron or Jimmy Tarbuck etc that low, Gary wasn't brilliant, but yunno in my opinion, he was NOT worthy of the score he received from Craig.

I've always felt the other 3 give out the encouragement, and even constructive criticism, whereas Craig gives criticism and nothing but, some people may appreciate his straightforward approach to telling them what they're doing is right/wrong, but he seems to always forget that they've been dancing such a short time, and it is only the first week.

I'm sure if he was in their position, he'd be the first to mouth off if someone criticised him the way he does to the celebs.

Edit: Agree with TQ. He, like Brendan have been given this persona to act up to (Could be said the same for James, but I think he's the nastier out of him and Brendan) and I think the BBC are to blame. I've had this feeling since this series was announced that this series could be the end, but that's just a feeling, am probably wrong.

I saw Craig at Bruce's birthday party and he seemed alot friendlier, more relaxed etc, so it's obviously the BBC's doing to make him out as the villain on SCD, and I've had quite enough, tonight's riled me quite alot and it's only the first bloody week.

Again, I'd say his comments were spot on although his marking was unduly harsh.

I thought he was a little harsh but I did love his 1 mark

I agreed with him with most of his comments. I don't know about the 1 mark but I don't like people giving out 9's and Len didn't seem to want to mark anyone lower then 6 overall I think I agreed more with Craig but I like Craig so I'm probably biased .

His comments were pretty much on the nail - but he gave Kate a mark for each foot last year - that 1 for Gary was just mean!!

And I agreed that Gary was the worst by a long way tonight!

1 that was the funniest moment of the show

I broadly agreed with what he said..I agree with what others have said that the BBC have asked him to play the aprt and thats what he's doing

The majority of the time Craig is spot on,okay Gary's 1 may have been a little on the low side, but Gary was really bad.....really,really bad.

I don't get how Kate or people never got a 1, and she was awful, at least Gary had some idea of what he was doing. I suppose cos Kate was being lead..or dragged that it wasn't as noticeable

I like Craig - and would normally respect him - but 1 for Gary was ridiculous - a bit like an examiner giving a candidate a mark for putting their name at the top of the paper.

Come on - he was better than that - and Mark was worthy of far more than 3! He's in danger of turning himself into a caricature.

Found myself in line with Arlene and Bruno tonight - their critiques were constructive and their marks fair.

I'm sick and tired of Len playing 'good cop.' Nothing wrong with being positive and encouraging - but he seems determined to give at least 1 mark more than the rest of the panel to every couple.

Like Craig he is far too predictable.

Wish we could have a programme where we, the viewers - you know, those who pick up the phone and dial a premium number - could ask the panel to explain themselves; and I don't mean Claudia relaying the questions without following them up - I mean us, the GBP.

I was a little disappointed in Craig tonight.

I usually agree with his comments and scoring but tonight it seemed as if he was determined not only to be mean but also cruel.

Not that he should have to sugar-coat anything but his comments weren't constructive - even Arlene was constructive! - and I don't think that the 1 was fair considering previous year's celebrities, nor was the 3 for Mark's waltz. Any positive comment seemed to be given reluctantly.

Hopefully he will be better next week

Totally agree with your comments regarding Craig and Len(picking out Jessie Wallace...fellow Eastender.. so predictable)..and was surprised by Arlene tonight

Gary said he was a perfectionist and then he got a 1

Getting the one wasn't necessarily his fault. I still believe something went on prior to the live show which has affected their confidence, because I thought they looked pretty credible in their training shots.

Craig was a disgrace and I wish he was going this week. His comments were vile and vicious on more than one occasion. And poor Gary did not deserve that one - I enjoyed his performance.

Craig Really Horrid.

He is too careless in using words like 'smug' and 'dull' - he would claim it's about the dances, not the people, but it doesn't actually come across that way in the context of the show. He complained like fury about Bruno giving Brendan and Kelly a 10 for the extra lift dance, but some of his low marks seem almost as bad - Mark's 3 seemed ridiculous in the overall range of the scores (his own as well as the other judges).

I think they needed Craig tonight, because Arlene seems to have taken sugar pills!!

I think his 1 for Gary Rhodes was spot on.

and Gary did mince through his dance. It was bad enough to spit your food out.

I agree with most of his scores - except I would have given Gary a 2 or 3, 1 was a bit much. Other than that he was pretty much spot on.
