For me it would have to be salt & vinegar Bones. A black packet with a skull & crossbones on it and some dodgy pirate skullduggery. I ate a bag a day as a lad in the 70s

Also, anyone remember the beef flavoured crisps that had a monk on the bag? Oh man I loved them. Wish I had a Tardis so I could go back to 70s crisp heaven.

Don't remember the beef ones you mentioned though, sorry.

*edit*

I've noticed that they have bought back Beef & Pickled Onion flavors of Monster Munchies

Now all they need to do is bring back the Fish N Chip crisps

The original Pickled Onion Monster Munch. After Walkers took over and changed their flavour MM changed a few years later.

Does anyone remember Tudor crisps? They were great. I remember at when at school they brought out a Tandoori flavour.

Burtons potato puffs, 10p a bag in cheese & onion, salt & vinegar, spicy tomato, ready salted flavours.

I recall them still being around in the early to mid 90's and then they disappeared.

Going way back - XL Beef Barbecue crisps. I used to have them every day in a baguette with a bit of spam amd marge in from the local corner shop. We were so diet conscious then!

Don't know about the crisps with the monk on the packet.

I worked at the Tudor crisp factory one summer when I was a student. I used to spend 8 hours counting 48 bags of crisps into a box!

OMG, I remember those, I used to love them too. I also remember some very cheesy, cheesy puffs with a picture bloke doing Karate on the packet, infact I think they might have been called Karate. I used to love those too but they just disappeared.

Yeah, my old Nan used to buy me a bag of Wheelz from Kwik Save on a Saturday night, along with a bag of Paynes chocolate peanuts and raisins.

The bag for Wheelz was huge, like a family pack.

Ooh!! Burger Bites!! My mum used to have a cleaning job in a library and she used to buy me a packet of them to keep me quiet while she worked lol

Does anyone remember the apple crisps that KP brought out? I never tried them, but the advert was all posh and it went 'it all started with a crisp/ a low fat crisp from KP...'

Tangy Toms and Meanies were my play piece in primary school. Meanies were brilliant!! I remember fish and chips too - more biscuiy definitely!!

Cheese and onion Frisps do it for me though, and Square crisps

Some stuff from the school tuck shop:
Meanies - I think you can still get them. I think I saw them in Makro
Quaterbacks - IIRC the same texture as Space Raiders but were in the shape of American football helmets They had a burger pickle type flavour

I remember the monk crisps AND the ads.... it used to be cartoons of monks stirring the big vats ... and I think the selling point they were trying to make is that they were made by hand ! They were yummy .
My fave used to be sausage flavoured ones, but I can't remember who made them.
