Anyone from West Yorkshire and of a certain age will have fond memories of Castle Crisps, made in Castleford, complete with little blue bags of salt. They were much better than the feeble national brands like Golden Wonder, Smith's, etc.
Long gone but definitely not not forgotten.

What about Jaws crisps then? They were shaped like the shark's mouth - sort of like comedy teeth but jaggy.

Not exactly old school but I'd like to see Nobby's Crisps again. I loved the Salt and Vinegar ones
![]() I also liked "Frisps" (cant remember who made them?), they were just crinkly crisps. |

You can still get Frisps!! I alwaya thought it was Smiths that made them, but it might be Red Mill. I like the cheese and onion ones

Yeah, Frisps are still around if you can find them. We've had them recently in a multi-bag - ready salted (red), cheese & onion (green) and salt & vinegar (blue) - I am sure they are.

Why did Walkers buck the trend and make the Salt and Vinegar packets blue and Cheese and Onion ones green?

Murphey's worchester sauce
KP beef Tesco beef Smith's salt n' vinegar Smith's bovril Golden Wonder ready salted, salt n' vinegar, sausage and tomato, beef and onion, roast chicken, smokey bacon, turkey and stuffing, cheese and onion, Worse day ever when walkers and their insipid flavours became the dominant brand and golden wonder and KP disappeared as their crisps were far tastier and superior. |

Sorry if these have already been mentioned. I have no idea what they're called though. they were REALLY thin tubes from what I remember, pretty sure I loved their salt and vinegar flavour the most.
I may be imagining them though. ![]() |

Never had them - can only imagine that would be very, very nice! they were the Best. I guess Chipmunk got gobbled up (if you'll pardon the pun) by Golden Wonder or Walkers or whoever.Shame whoever bought them out didn't keep their flavours on board.
