Sorry Stewie, that definitely sounds like Stuart the warm up guy. As I said, he looks and acts remarkably like Dale Winton and plays up to it as well. I doubt very much that the BBC could afford Dale as a warm up guy! I've seen Stuart several times now and he uses the same lines every time. About time someone wrote him a new script!!!

Hey great report
maybe could you answer this after the results show as some people dnt know the result yet (i do though ) what was the atmosphere like after the camera's stopped and what happened after results etc?

Thanks Stewie - that was a great report Have been away this w/e and this is my first foray into the forum since catching up with my tape of last night's SCD (socialising on SCD nights - sacrilege !). Now I feel a bit more equipped to go forth and venture into the other threads

For the first time, I don't actually know who's gone! Roll on 8pm (they're really milking the SCD success for all its worth aren't they - a whole hour's results show. Can't wait!)

I just wanted to say thanks for not giving it away too. I have been resolutely not looking!

Just like to add my thanks for the great report.

"Got there 1.30 and 15th in queue, I think the ones who arrived much nearer the time would have got in. Loads of waiting, but thankfully it was warm and sunny day."

What time did they start letting people in to TV Centre? And is it recommended to get in the queue at least a few hours before then to make sure you get in to the studio? Sure the answers would be of interest to people who might be lucky enough to get tickets and have never been to TV Centre before for a show.

Well, Dale_a_Like certainly fooled not just me! Sis and the two ladies we met in the queue thought he was Dale too. From what he said, he was obviously regular, so I guess he must have been this Stuart guy.

The atmosphere once the cameras stopped rolling. Well, not much happened. All of the dancers and stars were ushered off the floor by the crew, Bruce thanked everybody for coming, and apologised it had been a long day for us all. Then it was a bit of a rush for everybody to get their phones back. I think some people had trains to catch.

Regarding not giving it away who won - well, I've lurked here long enought to know the rules that you post this only in the official spoiler thread. I really wanted to chat about the experience of being at the live show, and know the result is avaible in the other thread for those who want to know. I appreciate that many don't.

Show starts in 40 minutes. Looking forward to it even though I know the result. Spent a few minutes this afternoon playing the show back on the hard drive trying to point out where I was to the kids. Have to say that the Brucie/Tess dance at the top of the show needs just a little more work - they get worse at it!

Sorry - just to say in answer to whitfield, they started letting people in to TV centre at 4. There were a few people that arrived before us, and in later weeks I think it will be very important to get there in good time, as more of the production guests will bother to turn up., and maybe less of us get in. I asked the "What time to get there" question in another thread, and one reply from a seasoned visitor said they had got in every time even though they didn't get there till 2.30. But I'm still glad we got there in good time, and if I get another chance to go would get there early again. But this time I'd take the fold up chairs and a good book.

Sounds great! I'm glad you had a good time

Can I ask how far into the results show Alesha/Matthew performed? My mum has to dash out at some point between 8 and 9 and doesn't want to miss them!

It was recorded in segments, so I got a bit disorientated regarding times. I even started clapping when Bette came on to do her number, and got a poke in the ribs to tell me I was applauding VT playback, and nobody else was clapping. But I think it's the earlier part of the show she is on.

The running order for tonight will all depend on how the BBC want to edit it but i'd take a wild guess that M&A will be first on.
