Yes..Dr Bill Cullen taking the helm....says he will have a softer approach than Siralan and not say you are fired (yawn)...his partner Jackie Lavin will be in the Margaret role. It sounds awful..cut price version of UK version.
I am also wondering how they will get decent quality candidates willing to give up their jobs to compete. After all it is not as though there are great opportunities in the media for the losers! I am tired of the low quality cheapo imitations that Irish tv make...I am still cringing from the 10 mins of the Miss Ireland/Universe I watched at the weekend... |

I'm not sure if it would work but I think Michael O'Leary (who runs Ryanair) would be great for the Irish Apprentice. He is more ruthless than Donald Trump and SAS put together and would make great telly!
He's also used to firing people. |

TV3 gets X factor etc so maybe sone UK station might pick it up. Its on TV3 tomorrow at 9.00 I just read the profiles of the participants in the Sundy Indo mag. they sound very full of the own importance. |

Much better than the usual TV3 standard. I'll be tuning in again next week.

I enjoyed it too and was suprised at how much I liked Bill. I was expecting to be 100% annoying but he wasn't as much as I thought!

Taped it and watched the end so I know who went. When I went to watch it after ANTP i realised I only taped half of it.
Not a cringing as I'd thought it would be but he's no SAS or Donald Trump. Still is will be worth watching as I know some of the locations.Anyone know where the 2 million € house is? |

Didn't see it but will watch it on Friday night. What was the quality of the contestant like. They all seemed very young from the previews I've seen

I was pleasantly surprised by The Apprentice. Its produced identically to the UK version including the music. The only thing is SAS comes across naturally as a grumpy old git with them, while I kind of felt Bill Cullen was putting it on a bit, he seems genuingly too nice to be fronting it. Now Ben Dunne would have been something !!!! Apart from that it was great, the right person went last night, what an absolute wimp, he deserved to go.
Thought Jackie Lavin was great actually, she did a very good job in the "margaret" role, as for the guy in the "Nick" role, he has that "thug in an armani suit look to him" but seemed pretty effective. Really looking forward to seeing this over the next several weeks. |

Eh, like Apprentice candidates don't always? Part of the fun is seeing the ones who say confidently "I AM the Apprentice!" be shown the door!
