Nicky rocks that sexy secretary look
Oh why should she win? Well, she's had to put up with a lot of stick so far with Joanna picking on her and in the most recent episode, Jackie trying to rip her to shreads in the boardroom, (not to mention all her catty remarks about her poor leadership qualities to the camera).Every one seems to view her as weak and vulnerable yet through all of this, she has remained incredibly strong and has a steely determination that the others lack.

I heard that the front of yesterday's News Of The World in Ireland had a picture of a contestant over the exposé of Gordon Ramsay with a heading implying that this was the person fired this week...didn't see it though!

Do they??? I'm glad I don't read the Sunday tabloids then, the one thing I really like about the Irish one versus the other versions is I don't manage to spoil it myself before I see it each week.
Shane going was a bit of a shock. I was convinced Orla was a gonner until Shane offered himself up. I would have predicted a Shane and Brenda final before then... |

Ha I know what you mean, she was very entertaining. But I think if she'd hung around this long we'd be throwing stuff at the tv!

Orla has to go next week. All she ever wants to do is hand out fliers.

What is wrong with these people? These are supposed to be the best of the best, and they can't even work out a simple budget? Or remember to put contact details on?
TBH I think everyone left is weak now. Stuart seems to coast along, letting other people direct when he's PM, like this week --- he was lucky he negotiated the price down so that they were within budget, as he did little else. Nicky is pretty much not there, Brenda possibly --- I think she's maybe the strongest of those left. As for Orla: I think her abrasive style may not sit very well with Bill, and she's forever making excuses, which he doesn't like. I think Phoenix (that was Shane and Orla, yes?) would have possibly done better if they had pushed their key idea. The star was pointless, and the less said about the photo album the better. It's a sad lookout for Ireland if this is the best we can offer. Quote of the week: "I didn't know that we had to budget for EVERYTHING!" Cheese on toast! Whaddya think "direct mail" means???? |

Cool didnt know there was a thread for this
I love the show, never watched the British or American one, so have nothing to compare it to!I think it was bad the way Bill was taking it out a lot on Shane, he did the honourable thing he felt he couldnt win, so he gave himself up and saved Orla, shame Bill didn't appricate this! I hope Nikki wins or Stuart, I dislike Orla and Brenda, though I think Brenda is very strong! BTW - Did everyone know Brenda is 34! according to tv3.ie, she doesnt look it, not trying to sound bad or anything... |

You mean that you think she looks older? I thought she was around 40:sleep: I mean Orla Power is around the same age as Brenda and I thought Orla was only in her twenties. Now she looks good for age.
Can't wait for tonights episode

I think Bill made the right choice too.
I think Orla really had to go this week. She didn't really answer her questions and came across as a bit agressive with the interviewers IMO. I think she would have gone last week. I thaught Nicky handled herself really well during the interviews. She knew what the interviewer was looking for and stayed focused on her answers despite the pressure. I think she handled it the best. I'm not sure now who I want to win, can't wait for the final

No don't spoil it for everyone! Ha
I thought Nicky handled the interview the best, despite the previews making it look like she'd cracked. I was convinced Orla was going to be in the final, was delighted she wasn't! I'm looking forward to the final, I was told they'd be working for my company in the final task but the previews doesn't make it appear that way. |

I think it should have been Stuart and Nicky, But a tenner, says Bill has Stuart employed
Hopefully Nicky will win, in my opinion she has been strong throughout. I do think Orla should have been fired a long time ago, and the way she was bitching about Shane, it was terrible, he pretty much saved her. I don't get it though, I thought he did the honourable thing, he knew he couldn't win so fell on his sword so to speak, and gets nothing but criticism from Orla and bill, wherein reality Orla would have been fired. Not too sure about Brenda, yes she is a strong character, but I don't like her, in the previous episodes she looks a bit mean and dismisses peoples ideas. Cant wait until next week Nicky ftw!

What really annoyed me about Orla (well, one of the things!) was that whenver anyone said anything negative about her, she instantly denied or refuted it. I mean, these are ultra-professional interviewers, who know how to get into someone's mindset and under their skin. They ALL said she was close-minded, but no, she refuted that. Glad she's gone, very arrogant, and then tried to say "oh, it was my turn to go", like it wasnt her fault.
Thought Stuart was very cheeky getting the cards printed, and I thought that alone might have made Bill keep him on, but I guess he just wasn't rounded enough. Also thought Brenda's misgivings about moving her family might have ruled her out (as I think happened in one of the series of the UK version), but she came through it ok. Not sure who I want to win. Nicky is sexy and I like the way she's made it to the final two after getting a lot of stick from the others (I also don't like to see a girl cry -- aww!), but Brenda is a very strong personality, so it'll be a battle. Wonder if it's going to be yet another "organise-an-entire-event" thing, or will Bill think a bit more outside the box? And watch for the traditional return of the rejects to help them! And all wrapped up in time for Christmas! Lovely!

Ability is more important than personality. Nicky has all of one and none of the other.

Yaaay, its on tonight
![]() I watched the English apprentice, in the space of about 3 days there, and whilst it was good, I prefer the Irish, maybe because I've been watching it longer, and have invested more time into it. It will be a great injustice if Brenda wins, she has her own shaggin business! |
