Well we went last night to watch Strictly at the Beeb and what a great night it was.
We decided to get there early after reading the forums on here and arrived just after 12. When we pulled up there was a huge que already... luckily that was for Ready Steady Cook! Phew... we were 3rd in the queue.
Considering we were there for nearly 4 hours it went really fast and luckily the weather was really kind. Sunny and warm... couldn't be better.
At 3.45 we were called in and it was very smoothly done. Straight into the Canteen for a nice cold wine. Expensive wine! £10 for 2 plastic cup fulls.
At around 5'ish they called us all through... production tickets first and then the public. Walking to the studios we saw most of the dancers outside getting a breather. All friendly and were willing to pose for photos - I read on here that we couldn't take cameras in so I handed mine in at the cloakroom. Gutted.
Inside the studio was superb. We got great seats opposite the stage. Brucie was brilliant all night and made us all laugh. How does he keep going.
Bette Midler came on first and did her performance. Had two attempts at it to get it right.
Then the live show.... wonderful to watch it totally live. Ola brought a big smile to my face
The interval lasted about an hour and then it was back in to film Sundays show. There was a queue to get back into the studio but this gave us time to mingle with the famous. Sue Barker was really nice although she seemed a little drunk.
Anyway back in and away we went. Alicia was amazing to watch. The group dance was brill and the right person got shown the door.
Left around 11 and back in the hotel at 11.30.
Brilliant. Just wish I had my camera.
