The glorious "Magic Position" by Patrick Wolf didn't even break in to the top 60 back in '07. Criminal.

Sonny J- Can't Stop Movin'
One miserly week at Number 40 a fortnight ago for the catchiest track of the year. |

TLC - Waterfalls
It went to number 4, I think. It deserved a number 1. |

It makes me want to scream that dirges such as Katy Perry make it to number one on the back of staid beats and pseudo shocking lyrics, yet genuine pop gems like this are just forgotten about. |

100% AGREE. How the shitty songs like Steps and Spice Girls got to no.1 and then a real deep beautiful song like that doesn't, I'll never know.
Steps best single (in my opinion) was 5678 which only got number 14! How come singer songwriters never do great in the single charts, Amy MacDonald and KT Tunstall have had some brilliant records! |

Don`t know about No 1`s but it`s surprised me that with the amount of airplay that Radio 2 gives them
(and the way that their songs stick in your head) that Swedish group BWO haven`t even cracked the Top 40 |

![]() Also, why have Delays never had a number one? Nearer Than Heaven is always a number one in my book. I just got Guinness Hit Singles and used tippex and a felt tipped pen. |

I always thought 'All Through The Night' would have been an excellent Christmas number one. I remember hearing it in Littlewoods when I was 7, looking in wonder at the Christmas toy department, and it just seems to embody nice things about Christmassy music, rather than the usual old tat we get served up every year.
Also, why have Delays never had a number one? Nearer Than Heaven is always a number one in my book. I just got Guinness Hit Singles and used tippex and a felt tipped pen. love yer spirit.

![]() I feel bad for them. They're missing out on some amazing lyrics and melodies by not seeking out her other material. I feel Hat Full Of Stars is an especially under appreciated album. |

Yvonne Fair - 'It Should Have Been Me ', one of the last from the golden era of Motown - dented the lower regions of the charts in 1976 ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q64jDvTnm8
