Olestra crisps
LQS
22-09-2008
When we went to the States earlier this year, we found Olestra crisps.... they have no cholesterol and only half the calories of "normal" crisps, but taste just as delish !
Does anyone know how Olestra works ?
And why can't we get this product over here - or can we and I just haven't found it ?

You really don't want to touch these:

http://www.vanderbilt.edu/ans/psycho...20of%20Olestra This is a long site with a lot of pages and worth reading.

And no you can't get Olestra in the UK for good reasons:

But was this an isolated eating incident or would there be leakages if you constantly ate them? Think would prefer risk of fat than the risk of leakages!
