I have gone off coffee, which I used to adore ( sorry bean to cup machine ). Now I HAVE to have glasses of milk all through the day - helped along by a couple of ginger nuts.

I was lucky I suppose in that I had no food fads or cravings nor did I go off anything.
I was sick though.
Boy, was I sick.
I did not feel ill in the accepted sense, I was just sick all the way through my pregnancy.
Subsequently I only put on 9 lbs with my first baby and 12 lbs with my second.
Both weighed in around 7 lbs so they were OK.

Good luck with your pregnancy LQS

I went off coffee and tea - I couldn't even stand the smell of them without gagging!

I lived on tomato cup o' soups for the first few months then was fine.

I remember I had a craving for ice cream with my first pregnancy and liquorice with the second once I got into the later months.

Hope you have a happy time over the next months - I really enjoyed it but I know a lot of people don't!

The only craving as such that I remember having with my daughter when I was pregnant towards the end just over 5 years ago, was these Asda chicken stir fry things.
They were beside all the veggies and usual noodles and stir fry but came in a ready to make pack of veg with chicken, and noodles on the other side and a sachet of some sort of sauce.

I was so addicted I would buy them 3 or 4 at a time and if I couldn't have one for some reason I would have a big huff about it

Just as well they waited till AFTER I had her to discontinue them :P Or I don't know what I would have done

With my son just last year before he was born I had a thing about the smell of petrol and road tar! The roads were being redone outside my house and I was in heaven

MY OH craved plain roasted chicken legs (they had to be skinned) and Chunky Kit Kats. Sometime at the same time! She can't even look at either without feeling very ill now!

My Aunt wanted to lick coal. It seemed strange, but the doctors said it was her bodies way of telling her she needed vitimins.

whilst pregnant with me, my mother craved pea and ham soup and the odd alcoholic cocktail

with my younger sister, it was tangerines with the peel on

i've not been pregnant yet, but when i am i will probably crave everything and anything, demand that my OH gets up in the middle of the night and brings me whatever i desire and go the size of a house!

When my mother was pregnant with me she craved Bassetts Sherbert Fountains - tubes of white sherbert with a liquorice stick in them. She used to buy loads of them and line them up on a high shelf in the pantry where no-one could get to them.

Not quite sure if it had a detrimental effect on my development or not?!?

My mum was addicted to oranges, and due to the carotene I was born with an orange glow (honestly).

No, but you have to let them stand for ten minutes before you can play with them. I wish I could experience cravings, but alas, I will never be pregnant...

Imagine the thought of bringing up a Wayne Rooney and him putting unleaded fuel into your 90K diesel Range Rover.

no 1 son it was malt loaves and tomatoes.
no 2 son it was fire-lighters (yes the paraffin things), coal and whelks
no 3 son it was lager and salt and vinegar crisps. Must have drunk a crate of alcohol free lager every 2 days

LQS, I'm with you on the milk thing. I have been drinking masses of the stuff since day one and eating anything creamy I can get my hands on. I've also been craving lettuce, the crunchier the better. My husband commented the other day that it looked as if there had been a run on the icebergs at the supermarket!

I seem to have gone off mint though...

How far along are you?
