Connecting in Sony surround

Can you help me please with the setup of my TV equipment.

I have a
Pioneer PDP-506FDE
Sky+
LG RH 188 HDD/DVD Recorder

and I’m trying to improve the Home Theatre sound experience by introducing into the system a Sony DAV S500.

At present I have the components connected to work ideal with scarts but I’m not sure how to connect in the Sony (no scart sockets!!). I would like the surround sound to be on all the time with the TV.

If I can get this to work and it transforms the TV experience then I’ll be looking to upgrade on to something a bit better – in the meantime any suggestions as to where to start?
