Do you have the PS3 set to upscale correctly?

IIRC Boogie Nights is only New Line on R1 - its EIV on R2.

Do you have a US PS3 .

New Line have a great record for quality.

I avoid EIV at all costs - mainly because of their VHS record but I've yet to see a standard EIV dvd mag advert that actually mentions anything about extras

I have the 2 disc New Line of Boogie Nights and the quality is exceptional.

I was always annoyed that titles released by New Line in the US - who put incredible efforts into their releases - the Platinum editions are superb - were foisted onto the UK by those wasters EIV who get the titles purely by virtue of an existing licencing agreement.

Lord of the Rings may possibly be the only decent release they've ever done - and of course all those extras are courtesy of New Line

I have quite a few recent releases from EIV and have no problems with the picture quality. I think Boogie Nights was one of their early DVD releases.

I did read a few years back that New Line threatened to cancel the licence with EIV if they didn't up their game.
