The Pussycat Dolls - Doll Domination
Has anyone here got the Pussycat Dolls' new album yet? Some of the songs are really good (I got it from iTunes).

I got it. I love how on the deluxe edition all the dolls have a solo song. Prooves to me that nicole has some diva ego issues and doesn't let anyone else have a turn singing on normal tracks. "If I'm not center attention I'm out"
In my honest opinion her voice has grated on me now! Jessica has a great voice and her solo song is by far my fave. It's very different. Back to the propper album, I haven't listened to each song and judged it yet but my faves ATM are Out of this club (love it) Takin all over the world I hate this part. This album seems a lil more urban than PCD. I really do think vocals need to be shared out because I'm getting bored of just nicoles voice! |

I got about six of the songs from iTunes (including the new single When I Grow Up) and its just as good as PCD, if not better.
It's a good album actually. There were one or two songs I heard that I didn't really like (I'm Done, Happily Never After (not sure of the actual name) - the ballad style does not really suit Pussycat Dolls) but that's the great thing with iTunes - you don't have to download everything!

I love "I Hate This Part", "Happily Never After" and "Magic" the most. There's some good songs on there, and I'm really loving Nicole's voice!

I never thought i'd say this about an album - but it is way to long. 18 tracks makes it such a chore to listen too and love straight away.
But, so far I like the majority of tracks 1 - 9. Happily Never After, Bottle Pop, Out of this Club and I Hate this Part are great. I've not really paid that much attention to the other tracks yet... The only this i was hoping for was a few covers like they did on PCD, and a similar track to Right Now Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps is really great though!

Theres this person on YT that has the whole album up.
I don't like the new album theres way to many balleds and Nicole takes up to much Vocal time, In the US they get a bonus CD which has solo singles by the rest of the PCD. I like Hush Hush, Halo, bOTTLE pOP, WHATCHAMACALLIT & Space Heres the YT link http://www.youtube.com/user/ultimatepcdfan1

On the album I really like I hate this part but I'm still to finish listing to the album. |

Im listening to it right now. I was a huge fan of the first album. So far 14 songs in, everything has been abit to 'urban' sounding. I loved the nice mix on the first album of pop, dance, rnb and caberet. Theres nothing like I Don't Need A Man my favourite song from the first album on it.
Having said that it's my first listen and im kinda just sitting here on my laptop with it just playing in the background and the music just going right through me.. However I just had to pay attention when Hush Hush came on. WOW what a song. Made the hairs on my arms stand up. It's really epic. Oooo 'Im Done' has just come on and it's really beautiful.. wow. I think ive just got the two songs im gonna be over playing. Im Done and Hush Hush!! ![]() Oh my goodness nice surprise having Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps at the end! Yay I love them doing this kinda very classy old stuff. Sway was one of my favourites on the first album. |

"Nicole Domination" is an amazing album
![]() Some real highlights on there, and a lot of the others are definite growers. I particularly love "I Hate This Part" (the verses are soooo good in particular - glad it's a single), "Happily Never After" (beautiful and refreshing to listen to - sounds a bit Disneyish in places lol) "Magic" (my fave on the album - it's just awesomeness gone mad!), "In Person" (toe-tapping funkiness), "Halo" (addictive and a grower), "Whatchamacallit" (hilarious and totally wtf!). "Elevator" and "Hush Hush" are also growing on me now. I love the bonkers lyrics too. Favourites being: "Abracadabra, I got to have ya!!" and my personal fave: "and don't be asking about my man, what he's holding in his pants Don't you give them chicks no info that's a no no baby (uh uh uh uh hoo) next thing you know she wanna know what what he's holding in his wallet (uh uh uh uh hoo) how long he last, slow or fast, how big is his um whatchamacallit" GENIUS ![]() I'm also really impressed with Nicole's vocal abilities. I love how her voice can go from so pure and sweet on the ballads / slow tracks to full blown aggressive almost rapping on the feisty tracks. I never noticed so much on PCD, but she's an awesome singer!!! Also, has anyone seen this? It makes me chuckle! (the original is here to put it in perspective)

I'm actually quite dissapointed. I was looking forward to this for ages and I've got it and it doesn't have that WOAH! I was expecting for. Don't get me wrong, there's alot of brilliant tracks on the album, I was just expecting abit more from the dolls thats all. I still absoloutely adore there first album though.

My favourite songs on the album are "When I Grow Up", "Whatcha Think About That", " I Hate This Part", "Magic, "Whatchamacallit" and "Takin' Over The World". I listened to samples of the rest of the songs on ITUNES and none of them grew on me.

I love "I hate this part" halo is pretty good as is that song where nicole shouts!!! In person.
But I still don't see why the other girls don't sing when the clearly all can sing!!!!!!!!! Melody, jessica and Ashley have great voices. I kknew jessica did because I love her solo stuff! I just feel that they would be more successful as a "group" I even think if nicole left they could manage on there own! |
