I have a feeling that BBs 3 and 4 were in fact produced by work experience kids. |

Next week on The Salon there's a "Head Up Arse Removal" extreme treatment specialist coming in, for those that might be interested.

(not particularly blaming Alex for that as I am sure it made great TV and was part of the reason why BB3 really took off-compare BB4..... Ok Vilt think I will take this opportunity to correct you.... Alex was concerned about the hygience and health issues involved with 12 sharing the same bathroom and toilet..... he openly admitted this was from past experience......... to BB in the DR..... It was BBs suggestion that he raise his concerns with the other hms...... BB constantly advise the hms to discuss the problems with the the other party/ies.... perhaps hoping to generate more conflict..... In this instance the hms were totally unprepared to listen to his pov and used it as an excuse to exclude him from the group.... Some of the other early conflict was generated by Sunita who had several bitchy things to say about Alex to Alison and Kate before she departed.... Jade who had a row with practically everyone.... Sandy who was frank about his dislike of Jonny...... Lynne who had a problem with Spencer......... Whilst I agree that Alex was involved in quite alot of the early conflict..... he was somewhat surprised to be so..... and definitely had no intention of stirring up a hornet's nest...

but Ben was right, BB3 was a deviation from the original concept. Even the BB producers admitted that by implication - "Back to basics" (being the original idea for BB4). ie. acknowledging BB3 was a departure from the "basics"... represented by BB1. its not snobbery, its just saying it like it is. Just like for example you can think the Guardian is interesting and the Sun is trashy... and can still enjoy reading both. Or some broadsheet readers despise tabloids, and vice versa some tabloid readers dont like broadsheets and think anyone who prefers them must be snobs. Oh, and the Sun is enjoyed by the majority of the public, with a much higher readership than the Guardian. The Sun must therefore be of superior quality... or would it be snobbery to disagree?

It has nothing to do with snobbery that someone might find some of the stuff in BB3 objectionable - but then again I suppose that you'd have to understand a little about the nature of voyeurism to do that. It's the difference between realising that the BB house is populated by real people in a strange environment and treating BB as though it's a soap opera ("light entertainment") and the housemates are performing seals for your benefit. |

I don't watch The Salon Bystander. Half an hour of the brainless drivel was enough. |

I've always quite liked Big Brother. Saw the BB4 uncut DVD in HMV the other day for £2.99, never bought it. Rather have a pint

I have always found Alex subsequently to be one of the most astute, clever and intelligent of all HM's(albeit with a bit of a temper)-so how come this amazing character change? And why would the charming and straightforward Sunita want to say anything bitchy about him?? What exactly did she say-I do not remember?Perhaps you can help.
