What's with this Alan Turner Guy???
Unless my eyes and ears deceived me last night ...
They show 5 seconds of him singing very badly - 2 seconds of Cowell smiling at him like he's his Dad and putting him straight through. ....... then numerous clips of his reactions, emotions etc to various parts of the pogramme. Is this guy being 'bigged up' for some reason? Like if we see enough of him he'll grow on us? ![]() ![]() ![]()

He had quite an amount of airtime on Xtra too with Holly. One of the girls fancies him
Remember his sob story? Foster care blah blah blah. I didn't like his first audition either. |

I don't think he is very good, there are better people then him, but I bet you any money he will get through to the live shows, and get the teenage/women vote because he is good looking

![]() They didn't concentrate on him at all last night. I would imagine that this was probably because of all the stuff that's been in the papers after his first audition. He seems to be something of a storyteller apparently Most of the other people who had featured heavily in the first shows got plenty more airtime last night. He, very noticeably, was more or less completely glossed over. |

Maybe I'm just cynical in thinking his bootcamp audition was so bad they couldn't show much of it - but they still wanted to feature him heavily in the rest of the programme. |

I think the boys group will have a hard time this year I think the girls have stronger singers.
He is nothing special so can't see him progressing very far and his fake adoption story was splashed all over the papers and made him look a plonker. The viewing public are so tired of the story making the star instead of the voice, we tend to give up very early on - before they even make the live shows. I certainly have I was like shutup about your life just sing ffs. We have no time for all that rubbish any more. Every single entrant could have some sort of story of how they've got here blah blah. It's irrelevant to whether you should win or not. In fact I don't want to hear another single sob story ever. Just name, age and occupation. Then sing. |

He got through without a single critical word
![]() He wasn't even in tune ![]() I don't want to start a hate thread on the guy - but I feel my intelligence has been insulted. Please - someone tell me you like him - someone must??

do you think this is where simon questions him on the foster care story? And it's funny because the foster care story hasn't been mentioned once since his first audition - Alan even made a point of saying tonight that he was doing this "for me, not anybody else". But next weekend will be very interesting because it looks like Simon will be confronting him about the press reports. |

LOL , the boys will NEVER have a hard time on the X factor. You could have three girls who sing like Mariah (when she could sing that is) , Whitney (again , when she could sing) and Celine Dion and boys who can't sing in tune but are remotely good looking and the males on average will still get further. |

Are you saying they put him through because they wanted an expose next week to boost viewing figures?
![]() I don't know if that is the case or not. I don't know when exactly they filmed boot camp and whether that was before, during or after the press reports came out about him allegedly "lying" about not knowing his real family. All I'm saying is he made a point about saying he was doing it for himself, and neither him nor Dermot or anybody else mentioned the story tonight which was very odd since a) they were quick to mention the other sob stories and b) his whole audition seemed to revolve around it and him wanting to make his "real" family proud - and I just found that interesting, considering it looks like it's all going to be brought back up again next weekend. |

wow
its all very carefully constructed the auditions the fake story from this guy so now next week simon will pretend to be very upset about it and confront him because simon will lose LOTS of sleep over it im sure haha even the banter from the judges is so fake at the end they dont give two shits about any of them or who wins really though haha were all being ployed into this so as we will buy the singles. the list of xfactor related singles released during the show is growing each year leona leon rydian all set to bring about stuff right about now at the height of the show +the winner with the predictable slow xmas numb 1 why not change it abit give them an upbeat fast song or something. even when people make it through the same songs are used every time mariah, whitney, leona, westlife. although i noticed britney poping up last night with EVERYTIME. hmmmmm i wonder why thats happened to pop up all of a sudden????? |

How you got that from what I said I'll never know.

Well - no matter - people will either vote for him or they won't (there - I fully expect him to be in the live shows don't I?) |

I missed what Simon said to Alan at the end of tonight's show for a teaser of next year? Was it him asking whether Alan was a fake or not?

leona leon rydian all set to bring about stuff right about now at the height of the show I noticed they even timed the Olympics closing ceremony to coincide with the new series of the X Factor just because Leona was singing in it. |

I hope that he's kicked out for lying, I think making up a sob story to further yourself in the X Factor is just pathetic and disrespectful to people who have been in such a situation.
