The boys category is still really poor this year
Cheryl's favourite, the Glasgow guy etc, I still feel they are light years behind the talent of the females this year.
I could name loads of females who have a chance, but still struggling regards the boys, the little Irish kid is nothing exceptional either. |

I agree, I think one of the girls will win this year. The only guy I like is the little boy, the 15 year old, with spikey, blonde hair.
The girls are so much better then the guys. |

While I agree completely about the standard of talent, I still think the boys category could end up doing really well.
Austin is excellent and has a lot of experience behind him. If he can lighten up a little bit and enjoy himself (he was so fricking intense last night, that's very off putting) he could take the competition by storm. I think Eoghan is deeply mediocre and he demonstrated that again last night, but he's the type of kid (cute, personable, popular with mums and tweenies) that will end up doing far better than he should. And they have Simon for a mentor and he's good at getting the best he can out of his acts. I'd say he's hoping for a winner in Austin. The girls category is far deeper, sure, but males have always been at an advantage in this competition and I wouldn't be surprised if the superior talent of the girls isn't really reflected in the final placings. |

Does say that lol. I think one of the girls should win this year, they are stronger and better singers then the guys. But teenagers and little girls vote more, so you are probably right, a guy will win again  |

There will be two guys in the final 2 again this year. Leona is the only girl to ever reach this stage and she was exceptional and only a few percent off being elimated in 4th place over the likes of Ray and The Macdonald Brothers.

I want a girl to win this year, and despite them being the strongest category (for me, anyway), I can still see a boy winning.
I think Leona was an exception, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if she was the first and last female X Factor winner. |

I disagree that Leona is exceptional. I think there will be a female winner this year.

Serious question here, Do you think Simon really got the best out of Nikita ? |

I agree that the boys category isn't great. Maybe they just pale in comparison with the girls, because this year the girls as a whole are stronger than ever before.
This is what I dread, and think, will happen: That one act from the boys category who is "cute" but has an average voice will have lots of support from the young girls. Meanwhile, there will be 3 really strong girls at the live shows, but two of them will leave early because of votes being split between them all, and the surviving one will come close to winning but will lose out to the cute but average boy. |

The girls blow the boys out of the water this year! Like alexandra is an amazing singer, she should have been put through in series 2, but maybe this is her time now!

Mali's my favourite out of the boys I think. His voice is quite unusual and mature for his age.

Worry not. There are no really good-looking guys this year.
Liam too (I'm his age, it's okay ), and Eoghan is quite adorable. But I still want a girl or Rachel/Ruth to win, I vote on talent and not looks

I think the girls is the strongest category, I do think Cheryl has a good chance of winning. However I remember some of the good ones like Maria Lawson, Tabby and Cassie being voted out before their time. So it goes to show not the best singer wins. Remember Steve what his name?

I think Liam Payne is very good, and he's got an amazing voice.
He reminds me of my initial reaction when I first saw Alex Pettyfer in "Stormbreaker" - I assumed that he was about 18 (because he had such a smooth deep voice) and then I was amazed to discover that he was only 15 at the time of filming. Similarly, Liam sounds as if he's more like 17 than 14. |
