Simon for me, though I wouldn't be fussed if it were either of the other two girls. Dannii was a brilliant mentor last year.

I just wouldn't want Louis.

Hmmmm whoever liked me the most from the first stages I suppose. Although if I had to pick one maybe Danni as she seems to actually really care alot about her team. Simon of course is the one who knows what he is doing and would be the best career wise.

I would have loved Sharon though as I know she would have liked me. She loves the sorta fun, quirky, colourful characters. Im kinda like a male (soulful) version of Kimberley from last year and look like a (young!! I stress young) Pete Burns and I think she would have liked that.

I'd want Simon because even if you don't win, if you impress him (which you're more likely to do if he works with you) as he's basically the boss, you'd have a better chance of getting some kind of deal. For instance, I liked Same Difference but wander if they'd have got a deal if they hadn't been in Simon's category.

Even if you win, one has to ask would Leona have got all the promotion and exposure especially in the US if she'd won but had had another mentor?

As an actual mentor, I wonder if Sumon has the time to devote to his acts as the other judges especially with AI auditions being filmed during the finals. That would be the only downside.

Even if Simon did have time, I'm not sure what he would do with it to help his acts. In his "day-job" he isn't hands on with his acts and as a mentor his job would be pretty similar, generally guiding the whole thing and picking the songs. None of them are vocal coaches or musical directors. But I do agree that he must have hardly anytime to spend with his acts.

It might be even more the case this year as he is taking on a greater production role on American Idol as well as judging it and Syco are releasing 7 albums (one of them worldwide) in 2 months plus an entertainment DVD. Not to mention his various other work. But as I said above, I'm not sure that it would make too much difference so I'd probably still opt for him. As for the rest, it wouldn't really bother me. Probably Cheryl, but just because she seems sweet and I'd be quite happy to let her get some revenge on Ashley...

Cheryl Tweedy... Then I could meet Girls Aloud!
Not Louis, he wouldn't look very good in a bikini.

I'd be happy with any of them except Louis. Dannii seems likeable and determined to do well, working with Simon would be an experience... as for Cheryl, I would so try to get it on with her.

I think I'd have Dannii or Cheryl.

Louis praises his acts whether they give a good performance or not

Simon is honest, but can also go too far either way; either put an act down, however they perform (as he did with the MacDonalds) or go OTT with the praise (Leona certainly, and Hope last year).

None of them realy as the extent of their musical knowledge just about extends to the back of a postage stamp. Just about making money for the label & Cowell.

If I had Louis Walsh i think i would quit / cry / slit my wrists, imagine having to sing his dubious song choices. His record collection looks absolutley dire & then having to work with the fat one from the Daniel O Donnell appreciation society tribute band.

From a career perspective, Simon I suppose, because he has the most clout in the show. Cheryl would be best from a personal perspective cos she seems so much fun to be around! Dannii would be ok, as she proved herself last year. I'd avoid Louis at all costs lol...

Simon - he is just projecting the 'toughie' image, he is honest but kind. No nonsense.

And he spoils the contestants

Dannii - quite a good talent spotter, but boring, IMO. All day long you would be talking about creams and suntanning - and maybe charts.
CHeryl - good to go shopping with and probably fun, as she is young...pity she is so... rough. Would chat about clothes and footballers and nice black guys . I think she is more sentimental than the others.

Wouldn't want Louis. Never. Sadly, he is a nasty piece of work and he is very petty. And cheap... under all those smiles and giggles. That man likes seeing people being down... (and I'll shut up now).

Simon or Dannii for me, they both seem very straightforward and business savvy, which is what you need to be in the showbiz industry, there's no time to be faffing about with how you've crushed someone's dream or whatever. That's why I wouldn't want Cheryl, bursting into tears every time I sung my heart out. And as for Louis, well the man is a bloody woofter IMHO.
