Should the groups be a random pick? & Other shake ups :)
I know some mentors could get the same year after year, but a random pick would be so much more interesting. Producers pick mentors groups with so many ulterior motives it takes any fun out of it. Unless it's just cynical me second guessing their picks
![]() Either that, or perhaps the public should vote. Anyone else think they should change the way they do this? Also, watching a few more auditions over the weekend, a friend of mine commented "Did you see that old woman sining gang bang". I said I did, but there was no surprise as they showed a clip of it every week leading up to it. I think X-factor should stop with all the "coming up" clips and background songs. As soon as a background song begins you immediately know the type of audition (sob story, crazy etc etc). Wouldn't X-factor be much better if we didn't know what any audition was going to be like and no background music was played, so each audition would GENUINELY shock, surprise, annoy you. I think this kind of surprise would pull the show up, as it's getting annoying now. My other half and myself can now almost give a running narrative of whats going to happen, who will get through etc, and we haven't even seen the show! I know the show has a format, but the format now leaves the viewer NO surprises. Just my thoughts

I think that the mentors should pick an envelope to find out who their group is and then they should select which 6 acts they want to take through to their homes (which aren't even their homes these days) rather than Simon saying who are going through, I know they make it look like a group decision but we all know it isn't. As for Liam and Cyril getting called back, what a farce that is
