Storing settings

I have an Elonex LNXTY - 37F2 and I can't get it to save and store the picture settings. I use SCART-AV2, but every time I switch off, it loses the settings and goes back to TV, which is a terrible picture as you can see another channel coming through in the background. Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Many TV's revert to normal reception at power on, your external box (whatever it is) should force pin 8 high and force the TV to AV2.
