I know there is a Slow Cooker thread, but nobody actually says how to make their dishes. I always find it frustrating when someone names an amazing sounding dish, but I have no clue how they do it LOL

Anyhow, I am no Slow Cooker expert but use it for bung everything in style stews. Here is a favourite in our house.

Ingredients:

2 Tins of Corned Beef
10 new potatoes
2 Onions
1 Frozen Stew pack (or mixed fresh if not as lazy as me)
1 Tin of chopped tomatoes
4 Red Oxo cubes
Worcestershire sauce (good shake to taste)
Balsamic vinegar (good shake)
Mixed Herbs
Salt
Black Pepper

Cut the Corned Beef into cubes, and place in a bowl to one side

Dice the onions and place in a bowl to one side

cut the potatoes into quarters and place on one side

add some Salt, Pepper and Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker bowl

Layer corned beef, onion, potato and some of the stew pack

Add a third of the tomatoes

Repeat layering until all used

Crush oxo cubes into a plastic jug and add boiling water and stir. Poor liquid over veg

Add a splash of Balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and Salt & Pepper

Add some mixed herbs to the top and switch on

Go to work....walk the dog....read a book...watch TV or whatever you like to do

When you get in, give it a good stir, and have a taste. Add more Salt, Pepper or Worcestershire sauce to taste, and leave another 30 mins or so

Server with Hedgehog bread.

DONE!
