Really Like Diana but fear she will leave comp early.
I really like Diana so far this year. Probably because I am also a huge fan of Damien Rice and that genre of music. Her rendition of hallelujah was fab too.
I was thinking though, she will have to sing abba songs etc and thats just not her style. I can see her going out very early. Its a shame because somebody like her would sell records rather than another leon jackson or shayne ward. If somebody has a style then let them stick to it I say. |

Simon seemed to really like her, and on Xtra Factor when the judges were naming the "no brainers" to put through, she was the third name given.
I doubt there will be an ABBA week this year and I think Disco has been ditched (IIRC, Cowell went to shout at people instead of doing Xtra Factor at the end because of how bad it was!) which is good for Diana as that won't suit her. Hopefully the themes will be a bit wider this year, like "Number One's" or "Love Songs" which allow a wide range of options. But I do still have a bad feeling that even if she makes the live shows she will be an early shock exit along with whatever girl group makes it through. |

I really like her too, she reminds me of a Country Singer, like Dolly Parton.
She probably will leave early, a girl/girlband is always the first to go. But I think Cheryl said girls her age will like her, so I hope they do because she is a better singer then the guys. |

I think she's brilliant, but I reckon she'll be one of the first to go.
![]() And I'm 15 and I love her, so hopefully she will manage to get some of the teenage girl vote. |

The thing about Diana is she is so unique and it has suprised me that someone like her has auditioned. She is great, but I do worry if her voice will be loud enough on the live shows.

In every stage of the competition they need to have fillers. People they know they can get rid of or will go early. It's like getting rid of Joelle and putting Anastacia through instead. The judges know that someone like Anastacia who we have seen next to nothing of will be an easy one to say bye to. Just like last(?) year in the over 25's they had that old black woman who sung amazing grace with the strongest accent ive ever heard and that annoying spanish(?) man who sung love songs. They need some people that will be easy to get rid of.
Same applies to the live shows. In each catergory there is usually one person/group who is way behind everyone else when it comes to talent or really just lacks something personality wise. example include daniel, unconventionals, Addictiv Ladies, Verity. People they know don't stand a chance in hell of winning so they can early plan bigger things for the people they know will do well. Although last year, the first week favourites to go Same Difference, Rydian and Niki all ended up in the top 4! I didnt have much hope for Same Difference last year but it shows that personality and novelty can get you a long way. Or the scottish public in some acts cases:sleep: Anyway gosh im going on.. Diana yes, we were talking about Diana. At this stage if she gets put through to the live shows I think she will pale in comparison to Alexandra, Rachel, Laura and Ruth (providing they get through) but then shes stronger than the other girls I have not mentioned. I don't think she will be out week one. Likely a group will be. Diana will need to pull something out of her hat to get anywhere. Her voice is nice, strong but to much Christina Aguilera oversinging and whining going on. |

I just can't see anything about Diana other than a gravely voice. Don't think she uses it that well, though. Seems very confident and the judges seem to love her.
I just don't get it. A poor Suzanne Manning, IMO. However, maybe she'll come on as the weeks progress. |

Mmmh which one is Diana?, is it the tall 17 year old blonde with the shaggy hair? Or the 23 year old with the face like a bucket?

Never saw the fuss with her until last night but she has a very good voice and her own style. I think she is probs the best out of all the girls as far as a potential career would go.
I'd back her so if they get her songs right there is no reason why she wouldn't do well. She is much better than Laura who I think is slightly over rated and is copying Amy Winehouse far too much for my liking. |

Her rendition of Hallelujah was very Imogen Heap and was excellent. Loved it, I think she could go far. Simon seemed to like her, he said something about how she had a great voice, and even better was that she had a good taste in music. He has said he wants a different kind of winner and she could be just the person, someone who actually enjoys music, not just any old top 40 song and could appeal to a wider than normal audience.
I think she'll outshine Rachel etc with the big voices when it comes to the live shows. Rachel is like Beverley but with less charm and I reckon once the live shows start she'll start to falter. |

Rachel is a completely different singer to Bev. One is very soul diva and the other very 20s bluesy diva? |
