Migrating from BT to Sky

I'm currently moving my landline from BT to Sky. I called Sky and they said they would take care of this by writing to BT to arrange this.

Thing is that the sky a/c is in my name and BT a/c is in my mrs' name. Does this mean BT could reject the cancellation on the basis that it will come from me, rather than her?

I've no way to find out until Sky write to me to confirm this.

Thanks
Heinz

Might be a problem, yes. I can just hear the 'data protection' excuses already.

BT will not reject the order for name issues as long as the telephone number and postcode match what BT have then you will be fine

If not you will get a call from Sky Talk Provisioning and we will sort it out for you
