Holly** is good with smaller spiders - she likes to pat the bigger ones to make them run along the floor. She just can't understand why I don't think that's a fun game!

** yes, I did name myself on DS after her

I still like cats!

I also want this thread to be higher on the page than the "I don't like cats" one

I love cats, although my cat might not love me after tomorrow.

He's off to get neutered tomorrow morning. I'm dreading a long day of waiting to hear from the vet that he's ok and ready to come home.

It's nerve wracking you can't get to the vets quick enough when they phone you to say they're ready to come home.

Got 3. Molly who's getting on a bit and moults everywhere, bit of a nuisance when she's white and longhaired! General Montgomery (my german wife doesn't get it) who is a brilliant ratter and Caspar who favourite trick is to bite my toes (usually when I'm trying to walk down the stairs). He also loves wrestling with the grandkids.

I hate it. We only got him back a few weeks ago after he had a few nights at the vet on a drip, after getting ill with some nasty viral thing. The day they phoned to say we could pick him up I was at the vets within 20 minutes lol.

Hopefully this'll be the last we see of the vet for a while!

Best of luck for tomorrow.
BTW, I'm sure he will still love you afterwards!

I love cats, my first pet was an abandoned kitten i brought home from a dump when I was 6 I like dogs too but cats are my favourite animal. I have 4 now, 3 indoors (2 males and 1 female, 3,2 and !yrs old and 1 outdoor kitty (female littermate of 3yr old fella) and a current unneutered intruder I'm trying to catch but I can't keep him or I'll be divorced
I've had 2 other cats in between too. All my cats were strays, I love moggies

I don't worry about the boys as much as the girls when they are spayed/neutered, its not as big a job for the boys. I bet he'll be fine Michelle and he'll live a lot longer too.

I've got an unneutered elderly cat visits he must be at least 15, he's such a gentleman, never sprays of fights, just asks for food an a warm bed, I can deflea and worm him just about, pick him up for a quick cuddle, but try and get him in a cat basket and he's off

awww, thats lovely. This guy is quite young, I'd guess about 8 months, he showed up a couple of weeks ago, I thought he was a neighbours at first as he was in good nick, he's already a huge ginger Tom- I've read before that gingers are aggressive and this one is scared and spitting, have tried everywhere to find owners bt I suspect he was dumped
I have caught wild kittens by hand in the past but this guy could do serious damage so I've borrowed a trap. Its only a matter of time before he attacks my lot-hormones kicking in, my 3 yr old Tom is protecting his little colony and I'm worried about him catching diseases, getting abcesses etc. Husband has said "no more" and he's been very good about the rest and my occassional "rescues" so I don't want to push it

I can't understand people dumping animals tho their loss has been my gain.
My 17 year old tom who was pts last year was a feral about six months at the time, the night staff had been feeding him but then the ward sister put a stop to it, so my mums neighbours said they would have him but changed thier minds after about a week saying he was too vicious, so I took him, I already had three queens but they took to him, especially the youngest she loved him, he became the softest most loving affectionate brave boy he was a big long tall cat and when the present stray came along they were fine with each other .

Stop! you'll have me keeping him
Really can't though My 1 yr old female Betty showed up as a stray and sauntered in purring and flatly refused to leave, I had another female (Ellie)at the time too but she died a few months back, car got her Betty decided she was going to be the "baby" and after a few days of sulks and spits, the 2 boys accepted her. She promptly infected them all with cat flu by way of thanks, luckily they recovered but 4 sick cats needing antibiotics adminstered twice a day was the last straw for hubby, bless him

I still think Ellie was wandering on the road as she was upset at Betty's arrival, she never used to leave the garden. The 2 boys, Mr.Tux and Mr. P love Betty now, they groom her and play with her. She challenged Mr. Tux to be the boss during the Summer but he gave her a few belts around the head and nips on the belly, the coup was was unsuccessful and order was restored eventually

Sorry
My bf has to reign me in sometimes, I've three and my elderly visitor, and he has two which I persuaded him to foster, well it was a pregnant stray which he ended up keeping along with one of her kittens . He's moving in next year so we're having a largish extention built so there's space for us all
I'm sorry about Ellie, it's heartbreaking

Wow! you've got a Bengal, they're very rare aren't they, show us a picture ??

I've got a common or garden tabby, but she's not common or garden to me, she's fabulous, the gentlest, sweetest natured cat I've ever had, she's never scratched or hissed, and she loves to lay on her back, legs akimbo, having her tummy rubbed. She also loves playing football, with a little red ping pong ball. I've already posted a picture of her in the pet pics thread. I love her to bits.

And whoever it was in the 'We Hate Cats' thread who said that cats smell, doesn't know what the hell they're talking about, They are the cleanest of creatures, always washing, and as long as you groom them and 'Frontline' them regularly, they don't have fleas either.

My little one is due to be spayed anytime soon - I am putting it off to be honest as I know she'll hate me

On a serious note I need to wait until I can get the time off of work so she isn't left alone after..... I'll get her 'done' on a Thursday and I'll have the Friday and weekend to keep an eye on her!

I'm dreading it though, I don't want to leave my poor baby at the vets and spend all day waiting to hear she is OK

Let us know your one gets on Michelle, and make sure you spoil him once he gets home

I love cats! My cat Rosie died in January 2007, and since then haven't got another cat yet sadly. I really miss having a cat because they just so lovely to have around. Unfortunetely my mum doesn't want to get another cat, and as I don't live at home full time (was at university and now am moving out again very shortly) she won't get one. Where I am moving to is rented place and will not be possible for me to have a cat there, so it will be a good few years before I will be able to have another cat ! They are the most beautiful and loving animals though !

Aww, I'm sure she will be fine! My two were done last December ish and apart from feeling sorry for themselves were okay. Daisy did have an op on her eye at the same time though poor thing, had to wear a horrid collar

I noticed before they had it done, Lyra would mew a lot. I'm not sure if she was in heat or what, but she doesn't do it anymore! They are house cats, but if yours goes out, better get it done before she finds a boyfriend

Well, poor Arwyn's back home, minus his balls

He doesn't seem particularly bothered about it anyway, he was more interested in reminding me he hasn't been fed for almost 24 hours.
One bowl of gobbled down food later and he's now fast asleep on the back of the sofa.

To think I was so worried about it I didn't sleep last night too.

I don't have a cat sadly, but i adore them, have loads of books on them.

There's a neighborhood cat here called "Molly", Shes adorable, My mom said that they're your friend when they lie on their tummies which molly does each time i see her, shes dead fluffy, I got off the bus this morning and she was over the road cleaning herself, i sat petting her for about 15 minutes while she purred, I <3 cats purring. I sometimes wish she was mine because shes the most friendly-est cat i've ever come across.

There's others in the road, one without a tail named Dibble, black and while cat named Eddy, and another one which i don't know the name off.
