they are such gentle, loyal, beautiful dogs. im going to get 1 when i get my own place.

I have a toy poodle puppy. When people see him they are so surprised he's a poodle. I will never have him in one of those show cuts. He had his first groom yesterday, they didn't shave him anywhere and is fluffy all over! It's not as if he's some fancy, prissy dog - he is completely insane, loads of fun and very naughty. I'd love to own a spaniel. I love cocker spaniels and springer spaniels. They are full of energy and so much fun. Also, perhaps a cavalier, they are beautiful dogs.

i have a crossbreed....golden retriever and standard poodle....she is a very clever dog and is very well behaved and good with children.....she would be a wonderful companion to a wheelchair bound person as she loves to sit right next to you and will walk close.....but then i am biased.....

Greyhounds

I was always going to get a collie once I'd grown up, but am so glad we went for a greyhound instead. They have hard old working lives, greyhounds, and deserve a nice comfortable retirement.

Collies and spaniels and scruffy mongrels.

I'd love a saluki too, but they look so fragile.

I love Border Collies have 1 my self who is 18 months old. Well trained but has the odd mad half hours every now again when bored. Is hard work cos they are so energetic and like to have something to do all the time. I believe (and it has worked for me) that the more time and effort you put into training the easier it is to manage them.

Alsation/German Shepherd. On our 5th one now over 35 years.

I have a Black Labrador and a Border Collie. Both dogs are fantastic but have very different personalities. The Lab thinks she's a lap dog and just wants to drape herself all over you - very loving and loyal. The Border Collie is very happy all the time, but can't sit still for one minute. She's the most intelligent dog I have ever had and is very obedient. I would highly recommend both breeds.

Dobermans, we had one when I was growing up and she was a fantastic, loyal and wonderful dog, I still miss her. After Dobbies, I would say Boxer or if I had a massive house a Great Dane.

Sadly as I work full time I can't get a dog, but I would love one again some day.

Cavalier King Charles spaniels, I have 2 and they are very well behaved. Very loving too.
I also like English Springers and Cocker Spaniels too

We have a teacup Yorkshire terrier, but I don't like them at all. Alfie yaps constantly and sounds like he needs oiling, he is ugly (sounds harsh but he really is!) and gets under our feet all the time. Everyone else loves him to bits but I'd prefer what I consider a 'proper' dog, a labradore or a rodesian (?) ridgeback.

10 year old female Sheepdog of working stock (smooth haired , hill dog type) , next step down from a wild animal!

Loves being in charge , bossing inferiors about & giving short shift to retarded male dogs that dont take the hint. Superb at finding golf (got about 180 of them so far) , tennis balls in shrubs & bushes. Loves to have who can bark / shout-scream the loudest contests with my 1 year old daughter.

A top dog that doesnt miss a trick. Treats us all like sheep! Loves rounding pop bottles up she finds on the sand.

Border Collies and Rottweilers (cos I have one of each! ) Saarloos wolfhounds, huskies, malamuts, lurchers, Belgian shepherds, great danes....ooh there's just too many.

I love all dogs, but I much prefer bigger ones.

Boxers are my definite favourite, closely followed by Dogue De Bordeux and St Bernards.

My boyfriend wants a Miniature Schnauzer or an Airedale Terrier.

I'm going to stop there because I keep thinking of all the dogs I like and if I carry on this would probably be the longest DS post ever

I have 3 Cocker spaniels and love them to bits tho i do have to say they are a bit daft!

Got to be Alaskan Malamute for me (Only cause I have one and love them) Closely followed by Golden Retreiver.
